Got a youtube channel?

  1. Yes, we had iPads 15 years ago. We called them "Weltmeister"s and they were manufactured in Germany.

  2. I find that really amazing since you don't even have a visual on it and there's no feel of the keys on your fingers. You're basically going off by memory of where the keys should be.

  3. Exactly. Just try to use the keyboard to write a text fast on the iPad and do not make mistakes.
And here, I had to control many virtual buttons pressed at exact moments.

    Here's more, enjoy :)

  4. HEY! Mamushka Mamushka!

  5. Don't worry about that little project regarding making a video for my tunes. I realised it's just much simpler to have my album cover as a background. I've uploaded the first three tracks so far, and here they are.

  6. I've uploaded some more music. Track 4 I've posted here before but I'm pretty sure the others haven't been, maybe The Speed of Light was posted before, I'm not sure. Anyway I've now got 10 out of 12 tracks finished and turned into videos. I just need to make a track 9 and a track 10 and I'll be good to go.

    What do you guys think?

  7. Are these your own compositions? Or you make videos to someone else's music?

I'd gladly say what I think but first, I'd like to know which part of this is to be judged.

  8. I created the music using a £15 iPad app called FL Studio Mobile HD which is the mobile version of FL Studio (used to be called Fruityloops). The real thing costs around £150. I also made the videos using a graphic from a guy called Jesse Thurrien. I have permission to make money using both the music created using FL Studio Mobile HD and the photo from Jesse, hence my videos have been monetised.

  9. I am impressed then. I assume that it is not that you just pick existing samples and assemble them together but rather that you work at level of individual notes.

I wonder what musical background you have. Are you educated? What level? The music sound quite unique at times and it can be either you have solid education but you like to experiment or you don't have the deep background but you just feel things. Both are ok, of course.

    Something new from me, enjoy:

  10. Nice. I've not had any musical education. I've just enjoyed making music most of my life. I had a little toy keyboard I used to play with when I was a child, I used to play a little guitar a couple of years back, making up some riffs and things. Now I've got this app I'm able to make music much like I did on Music 2000 on the PlayStation and yes I crafted all of the riffs note by note myself.

  11. I thought so.

Keep up the good work, as I said, the lack of formal education makes your works somewhat unique. You have your style and s lot of interesting notes ahead.

As for me, I got my masters 13 years ago but because I also studied math, I am not a professional musician now. Also, I don't compose anymore as I just don't have time for this. Anyway, two of my best tracks are

    and

The first one was awarded in a demoscene party back in 90s (96?).

  12. The first one is really good. The second one reminds me of a NES track from some game.

  13. I like the first one. At the risk of soudning like bfun I think it sounds alot like an old Final Fantasy game. As for the second, I dig it man, very funky. Reminds me of a Mega Drive game rather than a NES game. It's got that metallic Mega Drive sound whereas the first had the orchestral sounds of a SNES game.

  14. At that time I was barely inspired by video game music. Rather, I listened to the classical music a lot, Mahler, Brucnker, Wagner. The second one has no clear inspiration, I've been writing it for 2 or 3 years, adding something and then putting it away for months.

However, there are other tracks with clear and explicit inspirations.

This one was inspired by an action movie track (unfortunately, after all these years I don't quite remember which one):

and this one was partially inspired by "Children" by Robert Miles and partially by J.M.Jarre:

(but both are not covers but my own compositions)

The first one is one of my oldest, written in Amiga times using the ProTracker, so that it has only 4 channels. Other tunes were assembled in ImpulseTracker on PC so I could use up to 16 channels.

  15. Enders game instantly reminded me I doom on pc, then after a couple of minutes I was reminded of the mortal kombat film. I liked the one after that better though.

  16. That's messed up

  17. What is?

  18. The old hog still grunts

  19. I've been having real difficulty monetising some of my youtube videos recently. The MGS2 HD and Heavy Rain playthroughs are ok because I know Konami and Quantic Dream don't allow it but I know for a fact that I should be able to monetise my Gears Judgment videos. Even the videos I made complaining about the monetisation being broken demanded proof that I own the rights to monetise them, which I provided, and youtube did nothing.

Long story short I'm now partnered! I've become a partner with RPMNetwork, owned by Maker Studios. This basically allows me to monetise many more videos (as long as I have the rights of course) and RPM will be helping me to get more subscribers and views as they take a chunk of any ad revenue, so it's in their best interests to get me more views. A lot of youtubers aspire to be partnered and I#m surprised it was so easy to be honest. They took a look at my channel to see if I was eligible and 5 minutes later they offered me a contract. I'm guessing they get a lot of applicants who have substandard quality videos like I used to have.

Also I'll be uploading the second episode of Stalhrim Badasses sometime this week and it's shaping up to be much, much better than episode 1, with much more dialogue.

Here's episode 1 in case you missed it:

  20. I'm getting worried now.
