So, I actually lost more weight (water) binge drinking in one night, than the 2 weeks on Keto. Alcoholism could be the next fad diet I try.
I got a Vitamix blender. So far I've made some soup and kale smoothies. You can pretty much throw whatever you want into the thing and it turns it to liquid.
lol those are crazy expensive commercial grade blenders. I see them at Starbucks all the time. My $60 Nutribullet does a good enough job. Not sure I need more hp than a Model T from a blender.
I always see them doing demos of the high-end $400+ blenders in Costco. Was never sure if it was worth the price premium over a $50 blender. Sure, the thing can grind an iphone to dust in 5 seconds. But why would you ever need to do that?
We used the heck out of our Nutribullet. After two years of heavy use it started to smell like burning oil. I needed a replacement and though maybe I should step it up. A friend had a Vitamix and it seemed impressive. I'll tell you if it's worth it in a few years. Apple smoothie.
I've been drinking green smoothies almost everyday now and my leafy green intake has never been higher. My favorite smoothy so far is a large handful of mixed greens, half a banana, small handful of frozen mango pieces, almond milk, and some vanilla protein powder. I was using kale for awhile but that took a lot of berries to cover up the bitterness.
Looks like #fakenews is spreading to documentary film making. I just watched a vegan propaganda / conspiracy film on Netflix. It wore out my bullshit detector pretty quick. This loony tunes movie goes Alex Jones crazy about how the govt, big food, and big pharma is conspiring to keep America fat and dying for $$$$$. These are some of the gems I can recall: - Sugar (and carbs) don't cause diabetes animal fat/protein does. - Eating an egg = 5 cigarettes - Meat is a carcinogen - 5% of cancer is genetic, something like 70+% is from eating meat What the Health 8/10 - 4K video + awesome conspiracy plot. Shit documentary.
lol. Eggs might be the healthiest food on the planet. The only thing pretty much all people who live to be over 100 have in common? They all eat lots of eggs, usually 2-3 a day. This Italian woman ate 3 raw eggs a day and lived to be 117. 116 year old black lady who liked her eggs and bacon. My grandparents ate eggs and bacon every single day and lived to be over 90 with few health problems. Neither ever had a stroke, heart disease, high blood pressure, or diabetes. Lol at anyone who thinks eggs are unhealthy. They are the cleanest source of protein a human can consume.
I think they tried to say you could live an extra 15 years as a vegan. Not exactly a strong selling point... a lifetime of eating vegan and my big reward is to suffer another 15 years of eating vegetables? No thanks!
