The Xbox One version of Rise of the Tomb Raider easily outsells the Windows version, unless you want to ignore physical copies. The PC version has received no locaction, not even a spot next to the PS4 by the urinals.
Fallout 4 had one of the biggest launches in gaming history. It had the top locaction in November. Even porn sites were seeing a huge hit in their user bases due to the Fallout 4 launch. Trying to launch a game at the same time was like trying to open a movie around the time of Star Wars The Force Awakens. I think there probably is a market for Rise of the Tomb Raider. Just on Steam instead of the Xbox One, and probably not for $59.99 (more like $7.99 during a Steam sale), and not around the launch of Fallout 4. http://venturebeat.com/2015/11/13/pornhubs-traffic-dipped-significantly-the-day-fallout-4-came-out/
MS might not be satisfied with only having the top locactions for their hardware… http://www.theguardian.com/technolo...-pc-games-development-epic-games-gears-of-war
I don't think they can take on Valve/Steam. I get that Steam has been very successful, and like others they want a piece of the pie, especially with how badly the Xbone is failing. But MS is notoriously lazy and clueless when it comes to PC gaming. They basically invented a platform that they don't really understand. I'm expecting another flop like Games for Windows Live. They would be smart to just get behind Steam. Maybe even make Steam the default Windows gaming store.
It's been a quite a while now. And Sony & Nintendo still aren't trying very hard. This is what they sent to the GameStop in Broken Arrow, OK USA. The XB1 wins again!
Could be that you're living in Oklahoma, a flyover state that almost no one lives in. Broken Arrow isn't exactly New York, Miami, or LA.
It's a suburb of Tulsa OK which is about the same size as Miami. Here's an aerial view of the Broken Arrow Expressway. which is just down the street from that GameStop. i was driving home from their IMAX when I stopped there. http://www.newson6.com/story/10186531/tulsa-traffic-accident-ties-up-morning-commute
Many people are saying Xbox One is the best console ever. It lives in the Top Locaction™ and has tremendous sales. The corrupt analysts and biased media just won't report it. It's really unfair. Really unfair.
Not just in the US either. http://rectifygaming.com/xbox-one-outsold-ps4-by-25000-units-in-the-uk-for-october-2016/ The Xbox One isn’t just dominating in the United States, but it turns out in the United Kingdom the console is beating the PlayStation 4 by 25K units. for October 2016, tracking firm GfK has revealed. In September 2016, the Xbox One was #1 in the UK by 1,500 units, so that was a big jump from the previous month. In October, 177,700 units were sold overall for consoles, with the Xbox One holding a 56% share (99,496), the PS4 a 42% share (74,630), and the Wii U a 2% share (3,550).
I gave my PS4 to my brother-in-law for Christmas. All he had was a PS3 and I needed the spot for my Roku player. Win/win.
The news is out. The PS4 outsold the Xbone in November & December, but it wasn't enough to win the game. The Xbone won the second half of 2016 and it was the only console to have year to year growth. That means that the PS4 2016 sales are down from 2015! "December was the biggest month ever for Xbox One sales in the U.S. and Xbox One was the only eighth generation console with year-over-year growth, according to NPD. In addition, Xbox One was the top-selling console over the second half of 2016, following the announcement of Xbox One S at E3. In November and December we saw Xbox Live engagement reach an all-time high of 3.9 billion hours, up 23 percent compared to 2015 driven by fan excitement for the greatest games lineup. Looking ahead, we expect 2017 to be a special year for gamers thanks to the upcoming launch of the most powerful console ever in Project Scorpio and a terrific portfolio of new games with Xbox Live support on Xbox One, Windows 10 or both." http://www.windowscentral.com/xbox-one-was-top-selling-console-second-half-2016-microsoft-says This is why the retailers are giving Microsoft the top spot on the sales floor.
