That's a nice bonus, considering most console owners haven't been waiting for it, probably aren't even aware of Duke Nukem.
Yeah, I guess there were, but I seriously doubt 50% of console owners have been waiting with bated breath for DNF
Wow, the RRP for this game is £51.99 You're not allowed to play it until your mother and I pick it up, monsly. No cheating.
I looked at it at lunchtime for £39 and decided against it. My dislike for KZ2 is too great and I don't think I will pick this up for anything more than £20.
AKS has already said the single player was disappointing and seeing as I was very disappointed with that aspect in KZ2 I expect I too will find it the same. I am not willing to spend £40 on a game when I didn't like its prequel, I will wait until its £20 and then think about it. For now I am having a lot of fun playing FFIX again and Infamous 2 is out soon enough.
I can't say the single player of this is particularly grabbing me. I'm at the oil rig level (5th one I think) and it just doesn't really gave me addicted. The battles feel quite channeled; seems like there's really only one path to take through each encounter. The early parts are also too splintered and short; you're just getting into things and then there's another cutscene and you're off into a different fight. Very jarring; if you had some sort of attention deficiency disorder then you might like it I guess. Multiplayer seems pretty damn good though. I've not seen the spawn raping of KZ2 so far and the crisper feel really adds to it. All of the classes being unlocked at the beginning is a nice idea. Bit baffled that you don't unlock armour straightaway; seems like that would punish new players more than anything. It's not balanced like modern warfare was so experienced players will have unlocked stuff that gives them an edge but you can still compete early on. Overall, MP shows a lot of promise.
Upgraded the sniper ability to they today; seems pretty cool. Went 9-1 on my first game. Had some guy trying to kill me after I got him a couple of times. His obsessional was most amusing; ended up trying to sneak up on me but my cunningly concealed C4 blew him up. Had a go with the infiltrator class but had less luck. Will need to figure out how the disguise works, offline maybe. Also saw some spawn point rape today but the team was useless. Bit of a concern though; hope it's very unusual occurrence. Overall, it's been great fun so far. Really enjoying it.
I'm going to buy Time Crisis Razing Storm to go with the peripheral I'm also going to buy very soon: Once I have this gun wotsit I'm going to buy Killzone 3 and use it with that. I predict it'll be very difficult.
Move has got advantages and advantages in this game apparently. I've not bothered to try it as I find move a pain the ass to use and I'm mainly playing this on my game room PS3 which wouldn't work with a Move set up. Really enjoying the online though; it's got a good tactical basis so that really appeals to me.
Better than KZ2? Do the characters move like they weight 5000lbs like in KZ2? I hated the sluggishness of the movements you see.
Characters are more responsive this time round, they still have a nice sense of weight, but it's COD-ified enough that you'll like it.
I thought you were in prison, chi. Tsk. You got KZ3 now then? Im around more for the next week, so I'll be around for some games.
I am not sure if Birmingham council would be pushing for a prison sentence on his 6 months rent arrears, probably not even worth the court fees for £120!
Monsly forced me to spend loads of money on a 3DS yesterday so I will probably have to wait until the start of May seeing as I need to buy a headset too. Must finish 3D dot games heroes first also, can't be playing 2 console games at once, that would be against my rules. 1 console game, 1 portable game.
