Journey? PSN only. Future thatgamecompany games could appear on any platform, however, as their 3-game PSN contract with Sony is up with the release of Journey. I think the PS3 and PC audiences would be the most receptive to their games, but I have no idea what they are actually going to do. I know chi is hoping for a 20-game Xbox LIVE exclusivity deal. ;D
I'll definitely back up the Journey praise; its a really unique experience. Out of interest, is Flow worth bothering with?
I definitely liked Flow, although it probably wouldn't have the impact now that it did when it was released.
Compared to Journey and Flower, the gameplay mechanics in FlOw are much more destructive. You consume in order to grow. I enjoyed FlOw, I found it almost a meditative experience. But as AKS said, compared to Journey, it's a much more basic kind of game. It's the most game-like of the three. Think of it like snake from the nokia days. Here's the 2D flash version so you can give it a try. http://interactive.usc.edu/projects/cloud/flowing/ Ugh, and Xbox deal would suck. If rumours do go that way I'll start up a kickstarter effort to outbid them. It's hard to believe that they weren't even a real company until they signed that three game contract with Sony, they've come a long way. @bfun FlOw is available for the PC and PSP, although the PC version is a basic 2D flash version. Here's a nice spoiler free taste of the music from the game. Although if you are planning on playing it, you should be undergoing a media blackout.
I played FlOw on the PS3 when it first came out so I'm familiar with it. It was very relaxing until things started to eat me.
Define completed in this case. I went through 40 ish bloodlines and mastered every piece of equipment then started a new game plus. I'm about 15 bloodlines in and I won't consider it finished until I've mastered every item again and I hit level 100 im around level 80 right now.
I finished Arkham Asylum today. I also found all the hidden goodies. It was quite good. I'm looking forward to diving into Arkham City in the near future, especially if I can get my hands on one of those fancy new Nvidia cards.
I'm level 103 and the god king is now 650. I've started playing IB2 on my iPad and it's much, much better. There's gems with abilities you can attach to weapons and armour, exactly like the materia system in FFVII. You can place gems into a forge to crate better gems. Also theres the clashmob feature which is awesome. It revolves around challenges that many thousands of players must contribute to such as killing 50,000 titans within the time limit, usually a couple of days. If you liked the first one you simply must own the sequel.
I just finished fable 3 and mass effect 2. Fable 3 made me happy because up until the near end I thought it was just cliche royalty squabbles. Mass effect 2 tho....... Makes me wonder of the game itself was even neccessary in the series..... In 3 the reapers come anyway. Getting all the achievements was fun tho
Batman Arkham City It was almost as good as Arkham Asylum. I’m thinking of getting the Harley Quinn's Revenge expansion.
Been playing mass effect 3. Haven't completed the story yet as I continually find myself drawn to the multiplayer mode. Great as long as you don't find yourself in a group of retarded (please excuse the word choice as they have angered me) 8 year olds with mikes. There are a few out there who think they know better then is grown (and some semi grown like chi) folk but if you can find the mature players then I think this horde mode tops anything gears of war previously had to offer.
Max Payne 3 Pros: very stylish, intense gun fights, excellent graphics, good story, usual Max Payne humor, great enemy AI, excellent enemy death animations, guns handle in a realistic fashion Cons: This game is brutally tough. The shootouts require actual strategy and skill or you will get raped. Don't expect to breeze through this one like Max Payne 1 and 2. Overall: 9/10, awesome game
Rayman Origins At first I was skeptic because of the demo I've downloaded from PSN. But just a week ago I've downloaded a full version and it was worth it. It's among the best platform games I've ever played. It's beautiful and the "flow" is incredible, you can almost "fly" through most of levels with proper timing. Also, I love the variety of ideas and although I've played a lot of platformers in last 25 years, this one is just exceptional. To make it even more appealing, it's not-so-easy. First four worlds where you set fairies free are easy. But then the same worlds reappear with four bosses and it starts to be a challenge. In the last world, the most difficult one, I died at least 10 or 15 times in each level. I also finished AC: Revelations. It's not THAT bad, few last chapters were quite fun but the beginning is just long and boring. I almost put it away. AC still remains to me as the top series of this generation.
I loved the original Rayman on PS1 but hated all the 3D ones. This game looked awesome when I first saw it and I really wanted it but some reason I decided to not purchase it over the weekend. Maybe I should reconsider.
You definitely should. Also, do not be disappointed with first few/few dozen levels. The more you play, the more you like it. Namely, the 2nd world (desert) is the most boring one but then, when you unlock swimming and wallrunning the game springs its wings. It's been discounted on PSN lately.
Just completed Ocarina of Time 3DS. I really enjoyed playing this again with upgraded graphics and in 3D. Yes, I am used to playing in 3D for long periods of time now. I just need to replay it for the last two remaining heart pieces, last bottle and the ice arrows and it will be 100% complete, then I will finish up my remaining two 3DS games before taking on the Master Quest to fully complete the game.
I've been playing Skyrim a lot on the Xbox in recent months since I still haven't got my PS3 fixed, I'm hoping to have it sorted this coming week as Resi 6 is out on Tuesday. I made a bunch of characters that only got up to around level 30 before I fancied a change, just like when I was playing on the PS3. I finally decided to pretty much remake my main character from the PS3, Shinji the high elf battlemage, and I'm loving it. I almost forgot how much I love playing with this class. I hit level 50 last night which is pretty good considering he's only about a week old and i've done no main quests. I haven't joined either side in the war yet, I'm only up to Diplomatic Immunity in the dragon quests, I've not started any of the guilds. Literally all I've been doing is getting words of power... and selling a lot of stuff. Level 50 just from word of power misc quests isn't bad. I finally made my first Skyrim daedric armour too (with Shinji I skipped it to go to dragon armour not knowing daedric is best). My smithing is 97 and enchanting is 96 so I'm almost ready to make my armour into beast mode. I'm buying dawnguard this weekend since even if my ps3 was working I wouldn't be able to get it for that.
