Last Game You Completed?

  1. No clue, but the original titles sound much better.

    To L.A.D:

I did the difficulty level one down from Crushing on both Uncharted's and it was easy I thought. Crushing will be hard but I doubt it will be impossible.

Get Uncharted 2 now and Heavy Rain.

  2. Yeah I'm sure it won't be too hard until I get near the end of the game when the Resident Evil Licker knock off's come into play lol I hated them so much!

I was actually thinking about getting both of them I'll most likely only rent Heavy Rain thought as it's still £30 for some strange reason :S

  3. Crushing is okay for both apart from one segment in each game where you're trapped in a room and the enemies seem to respawn for ages. The First uncharted's Curshing difficulty is a lot more frustrating than Uncharted 2's though, they kept the spike a bit more managable.

  4. Yeah they were quite annoying. Especially on Hard mode. So they must be a bunch of wankers on crushing.

I would rent Heavy Rain as it is quite short. A week should do you fine if you smash it. I would buy Uncharted 2 soon as possible though as it is amazing.

  5. Dead Space 2

I really enjoyed it. Many games have tried to copy the System Shock 2 formula, but this is the only one I've played that actually got it right. I thought it was quite a bit better than the original Dead Space. My only complaint is that there's a steep difficulty curve towards the end of the game. I think if I hadn't upgraded the stasis module, I would have been in trouble.

    9/10

  6. After swapping to a PS3 Slim and accidentally erasing my LittleBigPlanet 2 data, I made my way all the way through again and finally completed it. It's a really terrific game in a wide variety of ways, although I actually liked the villain and the way things concluded in the original better. However, I also loved most of the characters in LBP2, especially Clive. The level designs are wonderful in this game. I think only the Super Mario Galaxy games have topped it in level design of recent games I've played, and not by as much as I would have expected. The candyland second world in particular was superb. Overall, I'd rate this game as one of the best on the PS3 and one that just about everyone who owns a PS3 should buy.

  7. Agreed. That's why I recommended that you upgrade stasis before the end. I hadn't the first time through, and it was a real pain to get through.

I'm irritated by the limited saves of the Hardcore difficulty. I don't think I'm going to bother with that. Has limited saves ever improved a game? I think I pretty much always hate that idea. If a game is tough and uses a system like Demon's Souls constant autosaving and steep difficulty, that's fine. But limited saves just sucks.

BTW, the javelin gun is an absolute beast if fully upgraded. I blew the hell out of one of those brute gorilla things with one shot/alt attack.

  8. It's also really useful for crowd control. Fire a spear into the ground in the middle of a mob, electrify it, and you can take out (or incapacitate) several enemies at once.

  9. No you didn't.

Just finished Fallout 3 New Vegas. Put about 72 hours into it. I have mixed feeling about this game. The story wasn't as good as the first and it seemed a bit simpler but they did make several improvements. The bugs were a problem but the game play was fun. 7/10.

  10. Huh?

EDIT: Oh, you're probably referring to that commercial. I saw that one time on the PSN.

  11. 3D Dot Game Heroes:

Fantastic game all round and really enjoyed it. Am farming a little for trophies at the moment as I missed one of the faires and the princess (but that meant I could get the other end game trophy anyway).

Only probably is I have started the game on the harder difficulty to go for that trophy too and its not easy! Dreading the boss battles in the final temple, they were edgy enough on normal so we will see how it goes. At the very least I want 3 more trophies for getting AI, returning the princess and staying at the inn with the princess. Didn't seem worth going all the way through the game to do that in normal mode and nothing else. Might see if I can get 10 more small blocks to get Excalibur (yes I spent some on my first playthrough silly me).

Don't think I will ever ever ever be able to get the spelunker trophy, the no deaths trophy, the booking Onyx or the acing Onyx trophy. Onyx is a pain to get to as you have to kill Fuelle first (although I did manage to ace him when I finished the game) and his lightning attack seems almost impossible to dodge which will kill my chances of acing him.

  12. I started 3d dot again but the path to desert temple really did my head in. Maybe I'll try it again after doing fallout 3, my current game of choice.

  13. The chap outside the inn tells you to 'walk between the cactus' or something along those lines. Its really simple and you only need to walk on around 5 of the quicksand paths before you pretty much get there.

You might find the flame temple (5th) very annoying as I know you get easily annoyed with games. You have to go around in circles a lot opening switches then going around the other way to get to the path it opened etc. Then if you die you have to go through the whole process again. I actually managed to miss the fire rod too and had to go back to get it.

That was the only temple that really wound me up in the game and then the one after it (6th) surprisingly was my favourite. Just make sure you take some magic refills to the flame temple as you need to use the freeze magic a lot.

  14. Uh oh. Cheers for the advice but this sounds like it could annoy me greatly later on. I'll see how it goes I suppose.

  15. I just Completed Dead Rising 2 today, with the true ending and completed Overtime mode as well, It was a pretty solid game but I still think the first one was better overall.

  16. Did it have a story mode like the first one?

  17. yeah It does, I think the story in Number one was better though, it had better main characters in the original as well.

  18. I finally finished Fallout 3 GOTY, including all of the major side quests and DLCs. It was a fantastic game, and easily one of this generation's best. Unfortunately, I think the bugginess when it first came out may have ruined it for a lot of people. The GOTY version still had some problems, but it was nowhere near as bad as I remember it being back in 2008.

I've been jonesing for Bethesda RPGs lately for some reason. Maybe I'm just excited about Skyrim. I think I may go back and play through Oblivion again. I don't think I ever finished the fighters' guild or the mages' guild or did any of the DLCs.

  19. How could you miss DR2's story?? lol it's like ALL that's ever talked about when regarded to it and it's pre/ sequals

  20. R racing on the Xbox - gotta love the engrish....I know I'm a sad, sad man...
