Last Game You Completed?

  1. The Witcher 2

Beautiful game, good story, good characters, combat and leveling where okay. By all accounts a very good game but I didn't feel the fun factor.

    7/10

  2. Completed Deus Ex the other day, my opinion of it is in the "Deus Ex" thread, was a bit disappointed with the multiple ending's and the final boss I have to say.

  3. Deus Ex Human Revolution

    Pros:
    -Good story
-cool locations (Panchaea, double decker super Shanghai)
-Augmentations and weapons upgrades are fun to play around with
    -good music
    -multiple paths to complete objectives

    Cons:
-graphics are a mixed bag and look a bit dated
-slow to get going, early missions aren't much fun
    -inconsistent enemy AI
-some technical problems with the PC version, eg load stuttering

It was better than Invisible War but not as good as the original.

Some people complained about the multiple endings amounting to just picking one of four buttons, but the rest of the game was each side making a case for why you would pick one of those endings, so I wasn't bothered by it.

    Overall: 8/10

  4. Deus Ex Human Revolution.

I really enjoyed it throughout and I think for £30 it was a solid buy. I did buy the typhoon when I got to the last merc and as bfun said it took him down in no time and it was also handy for all the loons running around the last area. Not sure how I will get past them yet if I do a pacifist run for the trophy but considering there is a trophy for not setting off a single alarm in the game I doubt I will go for the platinum. I imagine it will take a lot of saving and loading every minute when in (for want of a better word) 'dungeons' and I can't be bothered with that.

All in all a good game.

  5. Just finished resistance 3. Thought the campaign was much better than the others. The storyline was better, the weapons had a nice weight to them and the controls felt slicker. Pacing was great, with only the latter bits in New York feeling a little overlong (not by much though). Graphics and atmosphere were great, especially the lighting. Yet to properly try multiplayer so not sure how much longevity it may have. If you like any of the previous games' single player then I really recommend you try this. Maybe more suited to rental/picking up cheap if you'll only play it through once - campaign lasted about 10-12 hours for me. I score this 8.891 out of 10.

  6. Oh, hell. I was hoping for at least 8.893. I'm not even going to bother finishing it and will put it on e-bay tomorrow.

  7. How much is the starting bid? 0.622 cents?

  8. Deus Ex Human Revolution

Was kind of sad to finish it. Beginning was weak, middle was grand, ending was okay.

  9. Just completed Uncharted 3. What a roller coaster of a game. Epic from start to finish.

  10. Didn't that only just come out? Must be quite short.

  11. I have had it since yesterday and played it non stop lol.

  12. The opening sequence alone would be worth the price of admission for you. It's nothing but punching. Seriously. You start the gameplay with good 'ol ultraviolent GC brawling.

  13. And if your an alcoholic it becomes even better for you!

  14. Any game you can actually complete the day after you bought it is pretty damn short.

  15. Welcome to the world of linear action games?

  16. The only problem with Uncharted is you don't want to stop playing it.

You can complete any game that's not an RPG in a day.

  17. I beg to differ. I think it would be very difficult to finish these games in a day.

    San Andreas
    GTA IV
    SSX Tricky
    Any Sports game
    Red Dead Redemption
    Wipeout HD
    Gran Turismo 5
    Lemmings
Tenchu 2 Birth of the Stealth Assassins
    Heavy Rain

If you can complete a game in a day it's a short game. I'd be pissed off if I was waited a couple of years for a game and within 24 hours of buying it I'd finished it.

  18. To back up my claim:

Nonstop punching pleasure. Now this is a REAL Uncharted game!

  19. Yeah that actually looks good, unlike the video of Uncharted 1 I saw back then.

  20. You actually completed U1 and U2?
