    Dunkirk

Up there with Das Boot and Saving Private Ryan as one of the best WW2 movies ever. Very action packed and suspenseful.

    10/10

  2. Get Out

I'm not sure how much I liked it. I think a bit more humor would have gone a long way.

    John Wick 2

It was pretty good. Maybe not as good as the first but it did make me hope there will be a John Wick 3.

  3. Ghost in the Shell

I'm not familiar with the original Japanese source material for this. It was okay. A bit like a Japanese version of Deus Ex. It had a few decent action scenes. Scar Jo's acting was really wooden. I don't think she cared about this movie at all.

    6/10

  4. Midnight Special

It's a good movie but it meanders slowly like No Country for Old Men. There's lots of talk and when it's over you still don't know what really happened.

  5. The Accountant

This is one of those movies that seems really good until you realize it doesn't always make sense.

    Spider-Man: Homecoming

In truth it was one of the more boring super hero movies I've seen in a long time but it was probably the most faithful to the original Spider-Man story. Stan Lee probably enjoyed it.

  6. King Arthur Legend of the Sword

You know what this movie needed? Nicholas Cage. It was terrible but I think he could have made it work.

  7. American Ninja 2

A drug dealer mad scientist creates an army of genetically engineered super ninjas. They punch people and stuff explodes.

  8. lol american ninja was one of my favorites as a kid, that guy was the original paul walker. I can't remember how the plot worked in the random ninja attacks that plagued 1980s society.

How to be a Latin Lover

Salma Hayek still looks good. Movie was alright. Mildly funny in parts. Dumb in others. 5/10

    Baywatch

Seriously stupid movie, but it has hot chicks with boobs that jiggle as they run in slow motion and a cameo by Hasselhoff. The Rock was alright but he's no Hasselhoff. It doesn't really work without the cheesiness and the chest hair. That was the thing about the Hoff. He could take something that was corny as fuck like a show about a talking car or lifeguards who fight crime and own it and make it work. I guess it was pretty similar to the TV show really, but not as good. Filmed at Deerfield Beach, which is right by where I live. 4/10

  10. I Hoff'd

  11. The cameo about the Rocks shoes was good. The film was entertaining thats about it.

  12. Wonder Woman

Dumb movie that got overrated by feminist film critics. If they made the same movie with a male protagonist and called it Wonder Man, it never would have gotten above 30% on Rottentomates.

  13. I'd have to agree with that last part.

    Guardians of the Galaxy 2

It's good, but not as good as the first one. Liked the Hasselfhoff cameo and Knight Rider references. Way too sentimental at times, but the first one had that problem too.

    7/10

  15. Harry and the Hendersons

I forgot that in the 80s you could say "shit" all you want and still have a kid friendly PG rated movie.

  16. That the one with big foot or whatever It was?

  18. The Big Sick

Slow. boring, unfunny. My wife wanted to see this and even she didn't seem too thrilled with it. Lol at the super high ratings. Bunch of paid shills working for Judd Apatow.

    Baby Driver

Basically take Drive with Ryan Gosling, add some humor that often doesn't land, and more music, and you get this movie. It was alright. Very overrated though. Drive is a way better getaway driver movie. i preferred that the backstory of the getaway driver was mysterious in Drive. I don't think having so much backstory in this one really added anything. Kevin Spacy seemed to be phoning it in. The bank robber/sidekick characters were all annoying. Again I missed Ryan Gosling. There's a scene in Drive where someone talks to him like the sidekick characters in this movie, and he tells him to stfu or he'll kick his teeth in. I don't know. I just don't get why this is rated so high on IMDB and RT. Drive holds up to repeat viewing, but I doubt I'd even watch this again.

Seriously, any time one of the annoying sidekicks in this movie spoke, I longed for something like this scene:

    5/10

  20. Drive was a great movie. The writing, music, atmosphere, acting all just clicked. Watching the trailer for Baby Driver it seems like weird comedic spoof. It made sense when I checked the director, his work is widely inconstant but his fans give him an artificial rating boost, all rating near 8/10. Only Shaun of the Dead is actually that good.

    The World's End - Good
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World - Meh/bad
    Hot Fuzz - Garbage
Shaun of the Dead - Great
