Isle of Dogs It was funny and offbeat. Something both kids and adults can enjoy. I liked the art direction and music.
Sweet. I will try to give that a watch sometime. I'm a big fan of Wes Anderson but not being live action demotivated me.
All The Money in the World The world's richest man was also the world's biggest cheapskate. He allowed his grandson to get mutilated because he thought he could get a better deal with the kidnappers. J Paul Getty was basically a real life version of Mr Burns from The Simpsons.
The trailer for this looked good. Was it? I also read that he negotiated the ransom for the exact maximum that would be tax deductible lolololol.
I'd give it a 7/10. It was good. It's even worse than that. Not only did he negotitate it down to what was tax deductible, but he actually paid the ransom money to his son as a loan which he required him to pay back with interest. The guy also had payphones installed inside of his houses. His personal phones had locks on them. Staff and guests were only allowed to use the payphones. He refused to pay for their calls. Despite being a billionaire, he did his own laundry. He thought paying someone to do it was a waste of money. When he would take people to shows and events, he would force them to wait outside until was almost over so he could get the tickets at half price. Anything he ever bought he would just keep saying it was worthless, and would keep pushing until he could get a rock bottom price. He was a legendary cheapass. If he were alive today, I am absolutely certain he would be using Kodi to watch movies and TV shows.
i had a good chuckle because of that stuff during the movie. FX also premiered a show named Trust in March earlier this year about this.
Tag The premise of grown men playing tag runs out of steam in about ten minutes and you are left with a boring movie.
It was a download of course. There aren't many movies that I will pay actual money for, and this certainly wasn't one of them. I think the last movie I actually bought a ticket for was Blade Runner 2049.
Hacksaw Ridge Too heavy handed with the religious stuff, Vince Vaughn was miscast, and a lot of the combat was corny rather than compelling. The part where Vince Vaughn gets pulled on a stretcher while mowing down Japs was like something out a buddy cop shoot em up. 5/10
Solo It was better than I expected it to be. A pretty good Star Wars film that had the misfortune of closely following a mediocre one. 7/10 Skyscraper They remade Die Hard, except it has the Rock and it's boring and dumb and has bad CGI 4/10
Unfaithful A trash masterpiece starring uber-MILF Diane Lane. Good sex scenes. Very amusing watching Richard Gere dispose of the French underwear model guy's body in a landfill. 7/10
I was still in high school when that came out... she was super hot in that movie but probably close to my age now.... I never understood the point of Richard Gere but I think he's popular with women one full generation older. Girls in high school were into Tom Cruise.
Yeah, saw the Meg as well. Was expecting it to be better than what we got. Was okay to kill some time.
Sorry to Bother You The trailers make it look like a comedy. There’s some humor, but it was more of a surreal arthouse movie about racism and capitalism. It got really weird towards the end.
