I'm not forgetting anything because I have watched very few MCU movies to forget. This is one I want to forget, though. I thought the Daredevil series was decent, so of course that has been cancelled.
Fist was unfortunately a disappointment. It had potential but didn't pan out. I think I watched through some of Season 2. Daredevil was the one I enjoyed most.
LOL the shows are the same as the movies. Most of them suck. Daredevil was the only good one. Punisher was bottom of the barrel. I don't know who they pay off for all the critical acclaim they get. #FakeNews
The Predator It was like they made a cheesy parody of a predator movie. It had a lot of action and it was goofy, but it wasn't a survival movie like what I would want and expect from predator. It had a lot of dumb stuff going on, like the kid wearing the predator suit to Halloween, the alien dogs, the annoying comic relief crew of idiots from the prison bus, and hot chick Olivia Munn playing a scientist. This might be the worst predator film. I think it's actually worse than Predator 2. Still, it was sort of entertaining and fun despite being bad. Predator and Predators 2010 are the best.
Yeah, dude. This is easily the worst of the Predator franchise. I'd put it on par with Terminator 5 as a potential franchise killer. At least Predator 2 had Danny Glover before he was too old for this shit and crazy ass Gary Busey. The 2010 Predators is really underrated. I wish they fleshed out more of that story (Predator civil war) instead of this mess. I've seen shitty cosplay better than this movie.
Crazy Gary Busey in a space suit fighting the predator somewhat redeems Predator 2. I had forgotten about Terminator Genisys. That movie hit a bump, went totally off the rails, and crashed into retardo land. It hit such levels of retardation that I'm not sure a sequel is possible, which might be for the best.
You cant improve or beat the classics so we will always get shit versions of our classic film series.
Fury I had mixed feelings about this movie. The battle scenes are excellent. They used real tanks including real Shermans and a real Tiger. Real always beats CGI. Brad Pitt is great too. He plays kind of a toned down version of his character from Inglorious Bastards. The problem is that Shit Ledouche and that annoying asshole guy from Walking Dead ruin every scene they are in. You have two annoying idiots playing characters who are annoying idiots and I'm not sure who thought that was a good idea. Why not make the rest of the tank crew at least somewhat likable?
The House that Jack Built An arthouse movie by Lars Von Trier about a serial killer. The serial killer in this film sees himself as an artist, and views his murders as his works of art. But can someone who is incapable of feeling empathy for other people successfully produce art? It's pretty brutal. The murders get more and more fucked up as the film goes on. The movie does have a very dark sense of humor though. The only other serial killer movie I can think of that was this graphic was Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer. The descent into hell at the end of the movie was very trippy and well done.
Venom: It was actually quite a fun film. Nothing amazing but I liked it. Hopefully they do the sequel with Carnage.
I took the kids to see Spider-man: Into the Spiderverse yesterday. I did not have many expectations going in, given that Sony has an abysmal track record with super hero films. I was very pleasantly surprised. The movie was excellent. Not just as a Spider-man movie, but as a movie in general, it was wonderful. Great animation style, great sound track, a compelling story, well paced scripting, I have a hard time thinking of any thing beyond minor complaints about the movie. I loved it and highly recommend it. Jake Johnson's fat middle-aged Peter Parker was highly relatable on a personal level.
Annihilation Lame science fiction movie misses the mark. Could have been good. 5/10 Mission: Impossible – Fallout Not bad. Not great. More of the same. 7/10 Aquaman Inconsistent. How Stong is Aquaman? Can fight Superman and take a bullet but hides behind glass from bad guys. 7/10 Bumblebee They finally get a transformer movie right but it's kind of slow. Also, wrestlers make bad actors. 8/10.
Mission Impossible: Fallout 7/10 The action was really good and Tom Cruise is as crazy as ever. But the story was too hard to follow so I stopped trying. A lot more plot this time helped slow the pace of the film, which was a bummer. I can maintain suspension of disbelief through the crazy action sequences. But I have a hard time accepting how much film time has passed during a crazy action sequence LOL. Also one of the cool scenes from the trailer didn't make the final cut Overall definitely worth the watch. Would recommend.
Bird Box It was C grade material with A grade actors. In the end I guess that makes it okay. 6/10. Spoiler: Derp It was basically a mix of Pontypool and The Happening. Venom It wasn't as bad as all the reviews said. 6/10
In someways it was better than Bird Box. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse There was a longer than average warning about flashing lights during the beginning of the movie. The warning was well deserved. The movie was visually stunning. 8/10.
Hunter Killer Pretty entertaining. Reminded me of big budget action political thrillers from the 90s like Air Force One and Executive Decision. 7/10
Gerard Butler is becoming a reliable B-list Tom Cruise with decent medium budget action flicks. While Liam Neeson continues to dominate the low budget punch people in the face market.
Saw Rogue One last night. It was decent, nothing special though. Pretty much everything I know about Star Wars has been attained via osmosis but I know all the important stuff. It was cool to see a heist movie in the Star Wars universe. If they ever put the whole saga on Netflix I'm totally gonna watch it all in release order. I think I saw one or two of the originals when I was a kid, I saw Phantom Menace, and I've not see any of the films from the current trilogy.
