A friend invited me to see Deathly Hallows Part 2 on Wednesday and even though I'd only seen the first two and I didn't really know the details I still enjoyed watching it. I was able to get the gist of what was going on and even though I enjoyed it I kept thinking that if I'd seen the others the last film would've been really really good. There wasn't really anything I disliked about it, I recommend it, even if you've not seen all the others.
The Human Centipede was...perplexing. It was almost so bad it was good. Almost. I think that "feed her!" scene was supposed to be terrifying, but I busted out laughing.
I liked the manhole decapitations, but some of the violence, like the thing with the school bus went too far.
I didn't care for the school bus or the sawing bit at all. I thought there would be more funny and clever moments, but it often seemed just as bad as the type of movie I thought it would be emulating.
That was my feeling on it. It ended up being a terrible grindhouse movie rather than a parody of terrible grindhouse movies.
Horrible Bosses - Not the greatest comedy I've seen, tries very much to recreate The Hangover but never quite get's in. On the other hand, Jennifer Anniston is FUCKING HOT AS HELL, she's nearly always just wearing her underwear in her scenes and she says the filthiest stuff I've ever heard in a movie that isn't pornographic so, in that sense alone, it is this years greatest movie.
You could pretty much tell that from the trailer. And can you recall the names of the main character and his partner? No? Priest and Priestess...
I cannot remember the name of any of the characters. It left itself open for a sequel, which I hope does not see the light of day.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 It was alright and ended the series quite nicely. I though the '19 years later' bit at the end was a waste of time but other than that it was quite a good film to be honest.
Your Highness It was better than the reviews let on. Kind of like Pineapple Express crossed with the Princess Bride. Take Me Home Tonight The 80s nostalgia trend needs to go die in a fire. 80s fashion was heinous, and most of the music sucked. Most of the people getting all nostalgic for the 80s weren't even alive at the time.
