Last movie you saw?

  1. The Inbetweeners.

It was pretty good as TV series to film adaptations go but I have to admit the first 15-20 minutes were pretty dull. I don't think I even chuckled until Neil started dancing but after that it got funnier.

  2. You didn't lol at the head of year's speech at the beginning?

"I will forget most of you instantaneously". Awesome line.

  3. I found Greg Davies entire part pretty dull and was very disappointed. Normally he is funny but he didn't do it for me in the movie.

  4. His closing line was one of my favourite lines in the film.

"Try not to kill anyone, it reflects badly on the rest of us."

  5. I just didn't find it funny at all. To be honest by the time they had just arrived at the hotel and I realised I hadn't laughed I did wonder if I had made a mistake going to see the film but thankfully it picked up.

  6. Surely you laughed at the bar dancing scene? That was hilarious!

  7. That's what I said, that was the first time I laughed and after that the movie became entertaining. Wake up old boy.

  8. Paul

I was expecting the worst but in the end it wasn't too bad.

  9. Black Swan

What a weird movie. Mila Kunis muff dive on Natlie Portman was certainly interesting.

  10. Thor

Definitely one of the better superhero adaptations that I've seen. The casting for the central trio of Thor, Odin, and Loki was basically perfect, as was the leader of the Frost Giants...and there were some genuinely funny segments during Thor's powerless banishment on Earth. The screenplay could have been better (seemed a bit jumpy for flow in spots), but overall I think Branagh effectively captured the "fun" element of comic book heroes like Thor, as well as some legitimately good performances from the actors.

  11. is that how Natalie Portman got pregnant?? btw has she popped yet??

  12. The Conspirator

I had mixed feelings about this movie. On the one hand, it had an important point to make about the US being willing to throw out everything it supposedly stands for in the wake of a national tragedy. But at the same time I had a hard time sympathizing on any level with a bunch of racist, braindead hillbillies who shot down our greatest president, even if one of them didn't get a fair trial.

I also thought it was let down by too many fake beards and a lot of stilted acting.

  13. Yeah I think that's how it works.

  14. Hanna

Not bad but a bit too indie for it's own good.

  15. Hanna started out good, middle got a little less fun, and it ended as a meh.

  16. Agreed. I thought it started off great, but dragged in the later parts. I also hated some of the music, and the grainy/shaky film style.

  17. I seriously hated how they handled Eric Bana's character. They portrayed him as a major badass. Then when it mattered, he broke down. Hanna didnt even give a shit either.

  18. They made her into some kind of mystery but they never really explain it. Everybody just wanted her dead. It kind of reminded me of Blade Runner without all the Sci-Fi stuff.

  19. Red Riding Hood

Pretty crappy. It was slightly better than a SyFy original TV show.
