Last movie you saw?

  1. Goon

I wasn't expecting much out of a comedy about hockey fights, but it was funny and well done.

  2. Aeon Flux

I liked it. Reminded me of Mirrors Edge.

  3. You seen Heavy Metal? It's nude cartoon so you might want to watch it alone.... but it's SUPER sweet. And very Aeon Flux, maybe the same creator.

  4. Charlize Theron got her Oscar, and then she got her Catwoman.

  5. What the? It's not even close. It's got more in common with the Dukes of Hazard.

  6. I saw a south park episode where kenny was getting high off cat pee and when he tripped he was in a world I believe is a parody of that film.

  7. I liked that episode because they actually changed their art style when they made it.

  8. I especially loved how kenny and Gerald both tripped so much balls they thought they were both in the imaginary world battling it out for as the king said "my daughters awesome rocking tits!"

  9. Muppets

It was alright I guess. I didn't care that much about the puppets. I mostly watched it because I want to bone Amy Adams. I think I'd watch her in anything. I even watched that horrendous Julia Childs movie because of her. I don't know what it is about her. I guess it's that she's a hot redhead but she's also got really cute mannerisms.

  10. I'm trying to picture this Amy Adams and all I can see is you in a dress.

  11. I've been a fan of Amy Adams since Junebug, which came out in 2005. She's become much more popular since then. I think she's attractive as well, and she's also fairly talented. Anytime an actress is nice to look at and can actually act gains bonus points from me.

  12. Larry Crowne

This movie was supposed to be about a down on his luck everyman in the current financial crisis. But it was clearly written by rich Hollywood people who don't understand what it's like to be poor. I've never heard of someone losing a job because they didn't have a college degree. On the contrary, many companies don't want educated people because they have to pay them more.

    Hugo

I'm not really sure who the target demographic was for this movie. It was too childish for adults, and too boring and pretentious for kids.

  13. Roger Dodger

Starts with a know-it-all breaking down the secret of life ends with him going back to his lonely, single man life. Oh in the middle is some stupid jokes. I did laugh at them, but I wouldn't watch this movie again. I thought the most appealing part was how this uncle goes out of his way for his nephew. I thought that was very apparent and well played out. But somehow this movie gets played off as something totally different and the relationship is hardly the focal point (though very STRONG) in every situation. rather interesting, but it's just, imo, consolation for watching an otherwise total failure of a movie about a total loser.

  14. Let Sleeping Corpses Lie

A fairly obscure zombie movie from 1974 that was directed/produced by Italians and filmed in the UK. It starts out fairly slow and tame, but then suddenly morphs into a Romero style flick with a fair amount of gore for the '70s. Pretty good atmosphere and decent level of acting for the genre. The zombies in this one rise due to a form of radiation that is being tested as a pest killer for local farms...

  15. Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow

It was okay if you want to consider the artistic angle. The underwater scene gets an A for creativity.

  16. Decided to get my money from my Amazon Prime subscription and watched a few freebies:

    Three Kings

Decent Desert Storm movie. tried to be all feel good but in reality it does anything but. not enough baysplosions.

Patrice O'Neal: Elephant in the Room

Dude I just watched it cuz he died. Sort of a black version of George Carlin (also dead)... or rather Carlin is a white version of him. Why is it black ppl always gotta joke about racism, and they get away with it too, cuz they black. It's funny when Carlin did it, cuz he's white and he not supposed to do that shit. Racism and Sexism is pretty much all he did- funny, but not that funny. I will say this though, he didn't do jokes, he was rather entertaining.

  17. From Dusk till Dawn

I can't believe I'd never seen this before. I LOL at the Nam flashback.

  18. Dang, finally watched it? It was the movie that made every human with a y chromosome lust after Selma Hayek.

  19. I love how Tarantino does his usual crime drama thing until about halfway through where he just says "fuck it, I'm doing a vampire movie!"

  20. Mission Impossible 4

It was pretty lame just as I expected it to be. It was very formulaic and the CGI was crappy and dated. It kind of just retreaded the plot of the first movie. I don't understand why this had such positive reviews. It's also impossible to take Tom Cruise seriously after his Scientology meltdown a few years ago.
