Last movie you saw?

  1. I just watched Life of Pi and thought it was one of the best movies I've seen recently, next to only The Hobbit. i think chi is a malcontent and a philistine.

  2. I loved Life of Pi. It was the only movie this past year that I thought had that epic, Oscar worthy feel to it.

  3. They made the boy a retard in the film. Trying to feed the tiger meat was a dumb way to get to the life lesson that metal bars are no obstacle for goats being eaten

  4. I wanted to see Life of Pi this weekend, but wasn't sure if a Amazon stream will do it justice.

  5. Special effects are good, yes. but don't let this avatar-like hype get you. This is not that type of movie. It's just an artistic approach made to a visual splendor. You could say Avatar is like crysis, while Life of Pi is like a Shadow of Colossus approach.

  6. Homeboy needs to watch it in HD.

  7. iTunes says the HD rental for Life of Pi will be available tomorrow, 3/12. Amazon might likely have the same schedule.

  8. It's up on itunes and available in 720p and 1080p. Get the 1080p version, even if it takes a long time to download. This is a really good looking movie that's worth seeing in full HD.

  9. I agree. It's a visual feast. I saw it in 3D and it was simply beautiful.

  10. Watched Pitch Black last night. Was a bit disappointed with it; seemed a bit empty really. I'm sure I enjoyed it a lot when I first saw it; Maybe I wasn't in the mood or something.

  11. The Warriors Way

The greatest sword fighter in the world leaves the East and heads to the old West. Evil gunslingers and ninjas pursue. The battle scenes were alright but the rest was boring.

  12. I fell asleep right before the final battle scene started in that movie.

  13. Ted

I didn't find it funny at all which really surprised me. I thought the trailer was great. Maybe I was in the wrong mood but 4/10.

  14. I thought it looked stupid and juvenile in the trailer, maybe I'd like it if the trailer is misleading.
Air humping a cash register, on what moronic planet is that funny?

  15. That's American humour for you.

  16. The only part of Ted that was funny was the Ryan Reynolds cameo when the guy is talking about how he thinks he might be gay and has a new boyfriend.

  17. The Flash Gordon party at TED's flat was the only funny part of the film. I hear there is going to be a sequel made?

  18. Oz The Great and Powerful

I thought it was good but I also like the Wizard of Oz. The 3D was nice with lots of eye candy.

  19. The Hobbit:

It was an enjoyable film, but it felt like it was trying to replicate LOTR down to the constant walking. The dragon and the secret evil spoken throughout is enough for me want to see the sequel though.

  20. So the Hobbit was actually good? I have a 1080p rip waiting on my HTPC, but I haven't sat down and watched it yet as I didn't hear good things about it, and I don't particularly want to sit through a bad movie that's 3 hours long.
