I've watched half of the new Transformers movie. I want to see the rest but I just can't make myself do it.
Transformers 2 gave me the worst migraine. It was so loud and so dumb. I'm guessing the new ones are more of the same.
Hot Coffee Very one sided. Still came away feeling like the amount of money awarded for the mcdonalds hot coffee lawsuit was absurd and that frivolous lawsuits are a problem.
Transformers: Age of Extinction First half was better that expected considering all the bad I heard about it. Second half was just crazy stupid and deserved the criticism. Space Jam I had never seen it. Wasn't impressed.
Space Jam was better when you were a kid tbh. Last films I have watched have been Godzilla, The Maze Runner and just now Edge of Tomorrow in that order. Really enjoyed all three but The Maze Runner was better than I was expecting.
The Hobbit: Battle of The Five Armies The best of the Tolkien films in my opinion. Sure they added a shit tonne of new made-up content that wasn't in the book but I really don't care about that. The film was fun and enjoyable. If you don't know what to expect from these films by now there's something wrong with you. Worth watching.
The Interview It seems like North Korea's plan kind of backfired, because no one would have given two shits about this movie otherwise. Now you even have hardcore Republican types saying they're going to go see it to support capitalism or democracy or whatever, and it now has more online sales and rentals than any movie ever. I enjoyed seeing Kim shit his pants in the interview and get blown up by a tank. It had some mildly funny moments. Wasn't really blown away by it though. Was about what I expected out of a Franco/Rogen stoner comedy. 6.5/10
I enjoyed it, although the gay undertones did get annoying. That Eminem cameo about him being gay was funny though.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier I enjoyed this quite a bit. Thought it was a nice change to the usual Marvel films; going for more of a thriller approach work well. Hopefully Marvel can keep up the quality with their films; I think only the second Thor film disappointed me.
Paycheck A bad Total Recall knockoff starring Ben Douchefleck. There were entire scenes that were nearly shot for shot ripoffs of scenes in the Arnie version of Total Recall. It's weird because it was actually based on a different Phillip K Dick short story than Total Recall. Also I have no idea why Ben Douchefleck was ever considered leading man material. Maybe he's a good director, but on screen he has no charisma and no real acting ability.
The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies. Felt like I watched 2 hours of battle and a little bit of plot thrown in during the time left over. Had the least variety of the Hobbit films as it all happened in one place.
Yeah i really didn't like the third hobbit film. They obviously ran out of ideas as the made three movies from one book
It was supposed to be 2 films but they had so much left over material that they slotted a 3rd into the middle.
I remember the Battle of the Five Armies literally being like a paragraph at the end of a very short book I read in one night when I was 12. How do you get a three hour movie out of that?
Frank It had some good dark humor and some funny, weird moments, but for some reason the movie never really clicked and came together.
Enders Game: Was okay apart from leaving the fate of the entire human population on a bunch of kids. Entertainment when bored type of film.
