You love being confused and having no idea what's going on? I can't see that being an issue for this one - any story they might try and throw in could easily be ignored. And yeah, I don't mind a purposely overly complicated and stupid story in a tactical espionage game if I'm going to be honest.
I enjoyed that. The dialogue was pretty cheesy but the cutscenes were action packed. The free sword combat mechanic will take a little getting used to but I was able to dispatch a couple of gekkos without much trouble. The game definitely has a mgs flavour with the codec calls and vr training missions but without the lengthy discussions. From what I saw its almost like being able to control those cut scenes in mgs4 where raiden was kicking ass, which is what platinum games was aiming for. It was frantic fun and My games library is short on mad arcade style action games. I'll be buying this next month.
I'm going to try the demo and give it a chance. I have been a fan of Clover/ Platinum for quite some time, so I'll try it out and see what they put together.
Seemed fine until I needed to dodge regularly. I had difficulty getting accustomed to the dodge controls and quit playing. It looked good and ran pretty well. Maybe I'll give it another try someday.
