Surface is going to flop hard just like every other Microsoft mobile product, and anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional. The only way they would have had a chance is if the RT version was $199, similar to the Nexus 7, which has done reasonably well. Even then I don't know. I'm pretty sure Windows 8 RT is an OS with no future. And then we have the clueless employees who apparently don't even know what they're selling in the article Khaid linked to.
apple never made any announcement. don't get rumors confused with official announcements. and take leaks with a grain of salt. we've already saw how that ended up with the iphone 4s and Galaxy S III fiasco.

According to Toms Hardware the Dell tablet with the full Windows 8 OS starts from $649 which isn't terrible I don't think considering it is a full blown OS. Just a shame it is using an Atom CPU. http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/Inspiron-Windows-8-OptiPlex-Latitude-XPS,news-40767.html Dell are also offering Touchscreen laptops on their site now. I think Windows 8 will work fine as long as you have a touch screen monitor or laptop.
