There's Fortresscraft on the xbox, and Eden on the iphone, but Eden is just like creative mode, unlimited blocks, no enemies, no survival. Fortresscraft, I dunno. Terraria is like a 2D minecraft.
Just get it for PC then, you get the updates pretty much straight away and you get all the survival/crafting stuff you can shake a blocky stick at.
I'm not really looking for it on the pc as I barely have enough time to play on my consoles let alone adding my laptop into the mix. I've just spotted Minecraft Pocket Edition on the app store, it sounds like that Eden game because there's no survival or monsters or anything but it's still going to be good right? In the comments of that video someone pointed out that there's an update due out in the next couple of days where they're adding animals and doors and other things people apparently wanted. Crafting and survival to be released in future updates. I think I'll buy this game after all. http://uk.wireless.ign.com/articles/121/1216093p1.html
I built a lobely house and now I'm bored. They need to make the iphone version like the pc version rather than like the crappy Minecraft imposters. We need survival and crafting!
Well for example, if you say, "let's build a model replica of Winston Churchill’s DNA", and then you go make yourself a ham and cheese hotpocket, chi will have it all done when you get back.
There ain't no time for ham and cheese hot pockets when there's DNA to be building! I don't even think I've played with you bfun... @phisix, it's about £17 now. Shoulda got into it last year, was only a tenner.
Thing about Minecraft is you gotta know what you need to get to what your doing. It's a bit simpler on the Xbox but on the PC I'd imagine it can be very frustrating to start and if you ever take a bit off say a few months, you might forget stuff and the frustrations start all over again. It's got a steep learning curve (not so steep on the Xbox version though) but can be insanely fun if your a cheeky imaginative curious george like chi. If your the type that must tare the tags off the matress just cuz it says do not tare than you should play minecraft. AFAIK everything is saved client-side (on your HD) so you can make private servers and stuff. plus it's MUCH less expanse on Xbox as it has to deal with the Xbox' limited RAM/ HD space and such. or maybe I'm thinking of FF11... yeah I think so. Anyway it's probably like a 'lite' version on Xbox. The achievements make it easier on that though plus you know... achievements.
Yes we played together for about 10 minutes. It was Castle Grayskull and you were drunk with power. I think you blew up the throne room with dynamite.
