What's the difference? I haven't even tried mine in over a year or maybe two. Got animal crossing sealed somewhere.
More powerful processor, second analogue nub thing, zL and ZR trigger buttons, head tracking 3d so you don't need to stay rigidly fixed in place, ambient brightness adjustment. But the most important thing is, on the regular sized one, it has SNES coloured buttons!
Will be getting the big one if GAME do a swap old 3DS for money off deal or whatever they usually. Not to sure about the position of the new nub since I use the circle pad pro a lot. Also, Xenoblade chronicles port on the 3DS = YES!
You don't want to do that if you've got games bought from the eshop since you need your old 3ds to transfer your stuff over.
I can back them up to my laptop and move the memory card into the new one which should validate them once my new system has my Nintendo I.D on. That or just re-download them and keep the save datas on my memory card and everything will be as it is. Or are you telling me you "have" to do it from the 3DS to the new one? No, thinking about they are all linked to my account to I should be able to just re-download them to the new system.
That's taking the piss to be honest. All of my games are on from the Eshop so that is pretty annoying.
I don't think the online features will work for EU users if they import the Australian unit. - I'd rather wait for the official release.
Australian 3DSs work fine in EU. Since they're both PAL territories, The EU countries as well as Australia and New Zealand are listed in the initial country set up.
Perhaps you could ask if you could do the transfer during the trade in? [edit] Oh, looks like you need a stable wifi connection to do the transfer.
Nintendo need to join the future and stop with all of this high maintenance safety crap with their consoles. Th same goes for region locking which is stupid in this day and age.
They need to join with the future and just make Android and iPhone/iPad games. Who actually buys handhelds these days?
Handheld consoles still offer far superior controls, until a standard controller comes out for iOS/Android that is adopted by all developers then handhelds are still going to be 100X better. Have you ever tried to play anything complicated on a touch screen? The Sonic games control horribly for example with a software controller. At the moment phones/tablets are limited to simple running/jumping games and puzzle or point and click.
That may be true, but I don't think I've seen little kids playing on anything other than iPads in recent years. I can't remember the last time I saw a kid with a DS or PSP.
Actually the 3DS is still selling quite well. You have to remember that these portable systems from Nintendo have extremely long lifetimes. The Nintendo 3DS came out 2004. The 3DS didn't come out until 2011. That 7 years is the entire lifetime of the iphone generations up until now. If I was a parent, I wouldn't even think about getting my kid an ipad over an Nintendo portable system.
Smash Bros 3DS will probably bring a few out into the open. My daughter still uses the 3DS quite often and she has her own Nexus 7 so kids do still go back to them.
