One Console Future?

  1. There is an article up on 1up about a one console future. This idea has been thrown around a lot over the years, but most if not all of us knows it would be a stupid thing to happen.

    The article is here: http://www.1up.com/features/one-console-future

What are your thoughts on a one console future for all gaming?

  2. I told you about "Project Win" a few weeks ago but you wouldn't listen.

  3. We're there already. Xbox 360 is the only console worth buying. It is the One console.

  4. The split between the core and casual gaming market won't really allow this for the time being.

Maybe if the Wii had some sort of upgrade pack that made it, like, good. Then you could have proper core games on it too. Wii is just an example. I guess you could say the same for Kinect and Move making the 360 and PS3 more casual.

  5. I like the idea of it in theory. I mean you don't have to buy three different players to be able to watch movies, and people fucking hated the format war between HD-DVD and Blu-Ray when that happened, and most just didn't buy anything. It would be really nice just buying one system and being able to play all of your games, but I don't think it will happen.

  6. Kinect is not casual! Blasphemer! Motion control makes you casual now??

  7. I said more casual. With the games they've released for Kinect this much is pretty obvious. Not that I don't see it having huge potential for core games, I do, it just hasn't happened yet.
