I've never bought anything off PSN, so I'm really hoping my debit card isn't in their system. I can't remember if I had to put it in when I signed up.
Did you hear what Anonymous have said recently? They said as soon as PSN is back online they're going to attack Sony. What a bunch of complete cunts.
Normally I agree with anonymous, but now they're just being dicks. Going after amoral faceless corporations that rob everyone blind is one thing, but stealing from individuals is another. They crossed the line from being activists to common thieves when they decided to start stealing credit/debit card information.
It might not have even been them this time. They admitted it on their facebook page but denied it on their website. Either way the people who did it are hackers and hackers are scum. They just go about fucking things up for people. I hope they find whoever did this and screw them to the wall.
When I signed up, I'm sure I didn't need to add my bank details. I only added them when I started using the store to buy stuff. In other exciting news, my bank has confirmed nothing has happened to my account and that I should just keep an eye out for any suspicious activity.
I've bought a few games from PSN. But I bought a PSN card from Walmart for those purchases. A small voice in the back of my mind told me not to trust Sony.
Considering that Sony say they could have only gotten the card number and not the security code or expiration date then I doubt anything even could happen. Its still probably too early too tell as we are all 1 in 70,000,000 and they can't have tested 70,000,000 cards in 7 days but I doubt anything will happen anyway.
I'm just wondering here, is PSN back up yet? If not, have you at least been given a quantified time period till it will be up?
It's not up yet and there's STILL no firm date set by Sony. Last week they said some online features would be available "within a week". Now I've heard the update will be available "by Friday". I've said before that until I'm actually signed in I'm not believing what anyone says regarding dates, including Sony.

Yeah. My PS3 is downloading a large update as I type this. Usually, I hate seeing those, but this time, I'm overjoyed!
Got the update but still says down for maintenance if you try to sign in. Will be changing my password as soon as it comes up.
If there's news from a non Sony source regarding PSN I ignore it because it probably the same bull we've been getting for almost four weeks now. If it is from Sony I'll still ignore it because they've said it will be back on about five times now and every time they've dropped the ball. I will only believe PSN is back up once I am personally signed in myself.
I've heard that America has psn back up. Probably won't be up over here 'til tomorrow, when we're all at ****ing work. On a related note. Sometime after PSN is back up does anyone want to play Borderlands with me? I've just started playing it and can see it being awesome on 4 player.
It is back but the only diffence it has made to me at the moment is I can see the ghosts of other people running around.
