Did you guys ever play this one? I played it but it was never one of the games I was always playing. Even though I still remember in the first event (100m on water I think) you could cheat by jumping at the right time and being picked up by a pelican, random stuff.
I actually played quite a lot of it during one summer holidays at a friends house (well 2 friends to be exact as they were twins). It was a good game to play if there were a few of you and I remember enjoying it quite a bit.
So I looked on the PS Store last night and was surprised to see that (among other games) Burnout Paradise, one of my favourite racers is free for downlaod on PS+. "Awesome" I thought. But then I read that once your PS+ subscription runs out you can no longer access your DLC. So in effect you're paying £3.99ish per month to rent some games, and not even a decent selection of games at that. I'd rather pay £7.99 per month for Love Film.com and rent ANY games I want for as long as I want. It seems the more I learn about PlayStation Plus the more of a waste of money it looks.
Some stuff you get to keep forever. I got Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty free when I signed up and have subsequently got all the Sam and Max episodes and Stacking free forever. I've got all the Fallout 3 DLC and the KZ3 DLC free forever too. Added to this, I've had good discount deals on games, beta access and all the content that lasts as long as I subscribe - multiple PS3 and PS1 titles and minis for what they're worth. A few nice themes and icons too. It's been great value for me, add all the free forever stuff together and they worth more than my subscription cost.
The welcome back stuff is available. Well, by available I mean error screen after error screen with no chance in hell of getting anything. There's 3 free movie rentals this weekend too, the only problem is whether you have the patience to get any of them. ERROR ERROR. If only Sony might have staggered releasing things a little. How fuckwitted.
I thought that was why they brought the store online then waited a few days before releasing the welcome pack. I haven't checked out the movies but I'm currently downloading dead nation, ratchet and clank and infamous. Might get modnation and lbp for my PSP

Am I being a complete twat? I still can't find how to download my second game.. Monsly messages me something a couple of days ago but I couldn't find it in my account history. The free games don't show up on the PSN store now I have download Wipeout HD/Fury. Don't tell me they class them as 2 different games and as a result I have now got my 2 free games?
I got the welcome back deal last night. I downloaded Little Big Planet, Infamous, burnout paradise and I saw Sonic Adventure for about £6 so I got that too. My PS3 was downloading the crap out of those games while I slept.
I really need to remember to get that back from my brother. Fantastic game and I saw Monsly load it up the other day, we had some good fun playing that back in the day but never finished some of the 6+ player challenges because of random dicks.
It should be in Account Management/Transaction Management/Services List. Select the Playstation@Network Promotions and it should tell you how many you have remaining. If you still have one left, it'll have a button to go to the store.
Yeah, got it on the xbox a while back. One of my favourite racers ever, the online was just insanely fun. Me and a mate have both downloaded it and we're up for doing the online challenges as we know it's hard to find enough people willing to get the challenges done, or are even able to... I remember there was a simple challenge where you had to jump from the roof of a car park onto the roof of the building over the road. All you had to do was use a car that had half decent acceleration but people kept failing at it grr. What are your favourite cars? I have 3. 1. Carson GT (standard version, STUNT) This is my freeburn car of choice. Excellent all rounder that's fast and easy to control. I managed to do doughnuts around one of the water fountains using only the throttle (once I'd found the sweet spot). 2. Jensen Carbon X12 (STUNT) This was my absolute favourite car for ages because I only ever used stunt cars and not speed cars. This car won races with ease. 3. Watson 25 V16 Revenge (SPEED) For just balls to the wall speed and fun this is my favourite car for racing now. I went through the whole game twice using only stunt cars so eventually I fancied a change of pace and once I'd gotten used to the speed boost I was hooked. Love it.
I could give Burnout a try - I'm only a few bits off platinum now so I've been mopping up. Just got 9 events, find all events and the mugshot one to go.
That is all I have to do myself. I was going to say this will be a pain as I don't have an eyetoy but my parents have Move so I could steal theirs to do it!!! Huzzah.
No, which is odd because te PSP has had it for years now. Nit sure what Microsoft investing in skype will do to those chances too. I've just finished infamous on the good playthrough, doing it on hard and evil now, could pop burnout in if you guys need help.
I'll be downloading my games tonight. I must have turned my PS3 off when I went to bed last night as it only downloaded 10% of Little Big Planet. Me and a mate will be up for some Burnout online challenge completion shenanigans once I've unlocked some decent cars.
Oh my God! I left my ps3 on all night last night and all day today and it's only managed to download the remaining 90% of LBP, all of infamous and 25% of burnout paradise. I've always know downloading to take forever but this is ridiculous!
Your internet connection must be slow or throttled, mine only took a few hours to download infamous, Dead nation and Ratchet and Clank.
