With a Sky phone line or BT? If it is BT things might get complicated as they argue it is each other at fault. If sky start mugging you off keep records of everything they say to you and try to get them to email you too. Make sure you take names and times and then go to sky complaints or even better find the Sky CEO's email address and email him. If they still don't help then send everything to ofcom. My brother had issues with sky recently when his phone line got stolen by another company. Sky were unwilling to help and get him back online so I complained to ofcom for him and emailed the CEO. He got 3 months free and it was dealt with within a week. Complain, complain, complain.
The internet and phone line are both Skys so it is 100% down to them. When I ring I will mention trying the right way and different ways but the speed was still slow or even slower. Going to play some RE4 now I think.
We're getting the 50Mbps package from VM installed on Sunday. It should be good, if it's not I'll be pissed off. I thought moving from a village in the sticks to a huge town would make the internet a lot better, it hasn't been the case with Sky. I'll post the speed test stats from sky on saturday then i'll post the results once we're up and running with virgin.
We had VM installed earlier and I've just connected my PS3 to it. I've run a connection test on the ps3 and the speeds that came back are as follows. DL = 6.4Mbps UL = 2.0 Mbps I believe that's somewhere like 6 times faster than what I was on before. I'm going to play black ops to test it out.
Online games actually care about latency alot more than your speed. The speeds are only going to help your downloads go faster.
It should be 50Mbps, www.speedtest.net on your laptop and PST results. You have 28 days to cancel so make sure you get on to it asap.
This is more than 10 times faster than what we were on before. It's also faster than it was this morning. I'll give it a day or two to get settled as it were before possibly taking action.
The internet we had with Sky was always slow. I'd used Sky internet at two different addresses and it was crap regardless. This is much better.
If you are only getting 10 then there is no point paying for 50 is my point. Keep doing tests over the next 3 days, save results and then get onto VM if no better.
After an agonizing hour of fighting all three end bosses, I finally completed Final Fantasy XIII nearly two years after I first purchased it. Apart from the story I have been enjoying it. I carried on with the side quests and trophy hunt and completed about 30 side quests and leveled up a bit too. I am going for platinum so this may take a few days. Playing Resident Evil 4 in between and I am in the castle and just met Salazar the annoying imp. Still great after all these years.
It will take more than a few days to get the platinum. I kind of gave up on the Xbox because all I needed was money to buy the components to make the remaining ultimate weapons, then I was going to get 5 stars on all the hunt side missions and that would be all the achievements, oh, and continue trying to get every weapon AND accessory in the game, that's a time eater right there. I just got sick of spending 15+ minutes killing 1 Long Gui just to have them drop nothing, and I was using collectors catalogue and the upgraded version of that item.
I am half way through the quests already and I am close to getting everyone to their max original crystallem role. Once I get that Double Xp egg thing I will farm that Ochu as he yields lots of CP plus items to sell for stuff. I'll give it a few days and see if I can be arsed.
The best place to farm CP is in the purple place, Eden I think. After that there's two beasts fighting one another near the exit to the Archylte Stepp, at the opposite end from where you first entered. Killing that Ochu was a fucking nightmare but I wanted the double xp egg before I finished the story. I just used Vanille and spammed it with death, it was literally hours before the move actually worked but it was worth it. I think I had three or four different sessions of just sitting there trying to get it to hit. Strangely I totally upgraded all the characters on the crystarium but didn't get the achievement for maxing out all characters, same thing happened to my mate. I'm assuming you have to give them all their ultimate weapons.
You may have missed out on some crystarium pieces maybe? I have been farming that Ochu as it yields 13600cp every fight. I need to save up about 100,000cp before I can get Vans Death spell so I can kill that bastad neochu, but once that is done I will spam those two fighting beasts as it takes seconds to kill them and they yield about 14000cp with the egg. You need a magic+ accessory and Vans Ochu weapon which gives more magic dam, and you also need to debuff the ochu. Then it will be easier to get a hit with Death. I also done that special connecting paths missions for that giant dude except two end boss ones, but i'll come back to them when I am fully leveled up, especially as I need to get 5 stars on all missions, which is 15% left of all missions. It's going to take longer than I though. Got the trophy for everyone maxing their 1st crys job though so thats good.
I triple checked, I missed nothing. Trust me, I did everything to give death a higher chance of hitting, it still took ages. Once you've got the egg I suggest you go to Orphan's Cradle. There's two fights in particular that give you stupid CP. One is a c'ieth dude who'll give you 64,000cp with the egg and a couple of other enemies that also give you a buck load. It's the best CP earned vs time spent area in the game. Once you're all levelled up as far as you can go you should save up 999999cp and finish the game, that's what I did the second time round.
Why save up 99999999cp and finish the game? You mean the C'ieth guy with the long sword? That's a good idea, I have leveled up loads since I last battled him so could do it even faster.
I said to earn all the CP then finish the story because a couple of the fights in Orphan's Cradle are the fastest way to gain CP, but you can only fill your crystarium up to level 9, once you finish the story and play the end game you unlock the 10th level, so you might as well earn as much CP as you can in Orphan's Cradle because I'm pretty sure you can't go back once you've unlocked the 10th level, at least not back to any parts with combat.
Ah I see. If you read above I said I already completed the game so I already have level 10 and each characters main role is already maxed out. I might just do the two beasts when I have the egg as that might be the fastest way, that or just go back to that mine level where Atmos is and fight everything as they will give 10000cp odd a battle and the battles never last long.
