Sacred 2 is massive; I doubt we'd finish it. I'm about 75 hours in with one character - got about 90% thru the main quest but I've only seen 45% of the map.
That's fine, it can join our list of unfinished games that we can dip into in a gaming drought or something.
I can never put down a game... much too addictive personality (short memory too). So I tend not to get new games in a gaming rush and just play them over the summer :/ They'd get more money if they just refined these games and charged me full price when I can finally get to them! But whatever. Win-win for me
Sonic CD was released on the PSN today so I bought it as I never played it before. Was enjoyable but the levels were stranger than the 4 mega drive versions. Did not take me long to complete it though.
The time travel aspect confused me when I quickly tried it on a Sonic compilation a few years back. I'll probably get it again though, what the hell.
FC? I mostly ran straight through it fast. I'll be going back a few times to mop up the remaining trophys and to unlock Tails. I skipped the ending cutscene as ive seen it many times, whats the differance between the two?
I never got the chance to play it back in the day and I really wanted to so I'm going to totally download this at some point and get it done.
I got it last night and did 4 or 5 levels. I knew the story involved time travel but I didn't know you went back and forth mid level. It pisses me off how I can find 20,000 future sign posts but only 2 past signs in each act, and when I do find a past sign it's usually bloody hard to no waste it. Also I got the first 4 time stones no problem but the last 3 times I've tried a special stage it's been impossible. Every UFO was changing direction rapidly just as I jumped for it. I think it's sometimes quite hard to tell when something's in the background or foreground too. The bosses are incredibly easy. It's weird, it's not quite what I expected of it. I think I've finished about half the acts having destroyed the machine in the past. I'm also confused as to why for this game alone they decided to call Acts Zones.
Has it got the US soundtrack or the JP/EU soundtrack out of interest? US Stardust Speedway EU/JP Stardust Speedway Not sure why they changed the music for the US release but there may be a reason out there on Google somewhere.
The Eu/JP version for the boss level against Metal Sonic, and then the first two zones before have a inverted version it and maybe the top one too. Edit: All three levels of that Zone is Eu/JP. The start and end cutscenes are not Sonic Boom though.
You can choose which soundtrack you want to use in the game, USA or Jap version. I've just finished the game for the first time having failed spectacularly to find either my way into the past or the machine I need to destroy for at least half the game. Overall I have to say this game is shit. The music is uninspiring and not at all worthy of being tied to a Sonic game, the graphical design make it hard at times to tell if something if is the foreground or background. I would describe this game as being Sonic 1 but the graphics are on acid and the level design is some of the worst I've seen in a Sonic game. Most importantly though the game is simply not fun. The first couple of levels are ok but near the end I was genuinely losing the will to play, it was that boring. I am hugely disappointed.
Did not know you could change the soundtrack. I think mine must be on the Eu/Jp one then. I know what you mean about the design's and that, but it is still a good game. Just not as great as the Megadrive four.
