Gamestation are actually pretty retarded. They want £42 for FFXIII-2 and had no copies of the MGS collection. Btw, do any of you know if Gamestation give you cash for all games trade in's or only a select few games? I am thinking about selling some games I have completed or don't play anymore and I could really do with the extra cash. It's either that or Blockbusters, and Blockbusters rip you off for cash trade ins.
I think game station give you cash; I've heard CEX are the better ones to go for. Amazon do trade in too so might be worth seeing what they're like. eBay is your best bet for getting a fair price.
I need it very soon though so online is not an option. I know Skyrim is going for £18 at GS :O But its quick money and I dont really play it anymore.
How can you be finished with Skyrim? I have barely scratched the surface and have been playing it for hours and hours. last night I spent an hour and didn't really get anything done, just sold some stuff and spent a bit of time levelling pick pocketing. I am waiting for FFXIII-2 and Kingdoms of Amular to go below £30 and they will be my next purchases along with Twisted Metal when that comes out next month. I wouldn't purchase anything in the shops unless they are doing a really good deal. They only keep stock of new releases these days, new releases and BF3 + MW3 (games for the sheep) and never do special prices. Since GAME purchased GS the shops have become identical, selling the same few games + massively overpriced second hand games. I used to really like GS, its such a shame they have gone so far downhill. The shelves used to be filled with stock of older games but now its only the top 10 + second hand.
I am not finished with it, but I have no desire to play it at the moment and I need some money. GAME will be no more in the future anyway. They are losing business, have so high price and publishers are getting fed up with them. Remember Electronics Boutique?
Yeah, they became GAME. Back then they even had shelves filled with PC games, your lucky if you can find one in a GAME store these days.
I have not seen or been in a GAME for years. The one in town got swapped to a Gamestation a while back. I hated GAME anyway. I need money of course, but I don't want to get ripped off with some crappy cash prices. £18 for Skyrim is strange enough, but the 3DS Mario world was £30 for cash back when I saw it yesterday. Guess they need those types of games in.
They know they are not going to make much money on Skyrim as everyone already owns it and other than MW and GTA console games never hold value. First party handheld games seem to hold their value for a long time but I think that is Nintendo refusing to drop the wholesale price. GAME and Gamestation are both a waste of your time now, I suggest you do all of your game shopping online unless you can find a bargain in CEX which is OK. Don't trade in CEX, if your game is worth more than the game you are picking up you only get 7 days to use the remaining credit, its basically theft.
I want cash back, not in store credit. Yeah I guess, but there were a few top games GS were after and were paying the same in store credit and cash back.
I hate selling my games, I might never play them again but I love seeing stacks of them on my shelves as crazy as that sounds. The first HD Tomb Raider game for example. I am never going to play that again but it sits in my pile of games. I think I have a copy of one of the forza games that I have had for years and years and only played for 5 minutes before I remembered how much I hate driving simulators, still it sits in my 360 section never to be played.
I don't really want to sell some games but I have to. I can always pick them up again in the future when they are really cheap.
Be careful, some games don't always go that cheap. Infact I am STILL looking for Sacred 2 and that is going up in value at CEX. Started at £6, then £8 now they want £10 for it.
FarCry 2 may be far from perfect what with it's poor storyline, repetitive gameplay and voice actors who sound like they were told at gun point to read the script at quickly as they could, but it's free for PS plus subscribers and the game does do a lot very well, it just does somethings really badly (like having a glitched achievement that you only find out is glitched once you spend ten of hours trying to complete it).
Far Cry 2 is a pretty good game. I think it got a lot of negativity because it didn't really follow from the first at all. As its own game, it does a lot of things really well. Don't get the repetitive gameplay comment at all; it's no worse than other FPS games.
Drive from A to B and kill guards at checkpoints. That's pretty much the entire game. Heaven forbid you should go 10 feet past a checkpoint and have to turn around, all the guards will have respawned! But as you say the game did an awful lot right and I'm looking forward to FC3. Anyone else got Worms Ultimate Mayhem yet? Forum matches abound?
I forgot it was even coming out, if the others go for it then I will too. Worms 4 and forts were a bit strange and I never really got into them on the PC but I am willing to give worms one more chance in the third dimension.
If you liked Worms 3D you'll like this. Me and some friends did indeed enjoy Worms 3D so now we have this.
I'm not sure about 3D worms. It seems wrong. But if people pick it up, I might get it. Maybe this time around it'll be possible to play more than one round per match.
There is some delay between peoples turns but not on the scale of worms 2 armageddon. Ive had a few private matches and there were a couple of disconnects followed by my controller acting weirdly (buttons were unresponsive then I get asked to turn my controller on, THEN my controller turns itself off). I also had one ranked match that lasted about 30 minutes and when one of the three players went out he quit, causing a host migration, which unsurprisingly failed. What a waste of time.
