Playstation Portable 2

  1. Not that I recall, I've heard rumours of a quad core chip but that's it.

  2. Toms Hardware are quoting the part numbers for the CPU and GPU as if it is fact..

These parts are also listed on the Wikipedia page for the device.

Wikipedia gives the fill rate of the GPU as..

    Another interesting snippet from Wiki..

If that is true that would be very impressive.

  3. You seem uncommonly interested in the NGP, grim. I've only ever seen you show such fanaticism about one other thing; scotch eggs.

  4. Im so hyped up about this handheld! This is real portable gaming! Not some ipad/ipod mini games (although i play angry birds on my phone whenever my psp battery dies!)

I guess I play my handhelds more than my consoles these days.

  5. Which of you gay boys will be getting this to play Monster Hunter with me? Ad-hoc is gone now so this game will finally be online now without the use of Xlink Kai.

  6. Adhoc party worked pretty well for the old games, with voice chat too. I'll probably wait for it to drop a bit in price and see what kind of games come out.

  7. Ad-hoc only worked if you have lots of mates who had a PSP and the same game. No without Ad-hoc we will have online, which is better.

  8. The more I see of this, the more it reminds me of the original. Playing slightly worse but portable versions of console games is pretty uncompelling for me. This was made a bigger problem with the original due to crappy battery life; if I'm going to be playing a portable mainly in my house then I might as well play full blooded console games. Still, I'll probably get it if there's some interesting original games.

  9. Uncharted, Monster Hunter and whatever awesome Rpgs come on it, Monsly! That is reason enough.

  10. I didn't like monster hunter. As for Uncharted, yeah I'd give it a go but that kind of experience is better suited to a proper console version IMO. The majority of the PS2 style games on the PSP seemed pointless to me. Missed the point of what handheld games should offer in the most part.

  11. No I meant the application for the PS3, official online play with voicechat

  12. Oh you mean Ad-hoc party? yeah that was great. Sorry for the misinterpretation.

I just hope Sony will finally release a program for the PSP2 and PS3 that will let you hook your PSP2 up to your PS3 so you can play the games on your TV. Much like the gameboy player for the gamecube.

  13. They released an AV cable for the original that allowed you to play a PSP on a TV so I can't see why they wouldn't again. Mind you, I'm not sure how popular it was; seemed pretty pointless to me.

  14. I thought it would probably see most use for movies/PSX games.

  15. Seems dumb for movies unless it's your only option. PS1 games is fine if you need to; if you've got a PS3 then it's not really needed.

  16. I never knew they had that. Since my PSP was more of a PSX emulator it would have been better to play on a TV, and of course Monster Hunter Freedom unite.

Man I put so much time in to that beast of a game. Cannot wait for the new hand-held one as the Wii version was shit. And yes, I do know the new monster Hunter is based on the Wii version, but it has old and new monsters and the armours and weapons have a more oriental look now supposedly. Jam packed like Unite was.

  17. Maybe it was for the people who managed to connect a dualshock to the PSP. The full handheld, home console experience.
