I changed my strategy all together and began winning by paying the pirates and spreading my culture around. I can almost make it through a whole war without any battles.
I prefer brute force methods of the vasari. Looks scary with a kultorask titan and vasari starbase invading enemy territory.
The titans sound like they really change the game mechanics. I wasn't that interested in this expansion as I pretty much played the game to death back in the day, but maybe I'll give it a try.
That's something new with this expansion. I never felt like the races in general were that dramatically different. They mirror each other in most ways, aside from thriving on different kinds of planets and a few differences in some capital ships.
Re: Re: Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion like cmdr said, it was to add more variety to the game. Each sub faction has its own research trees and titans now. It adds a bit more depth into the game. If they didn't add the loyalists and rebels sub factions, the game would be a bit of a snoozer and disappointing considering how long this was in development for.
I forgot to mention that I did my 2v2 game using all AI and I must say your teammate makes you play at a much more crazier pace. I think I completed the game in less than 3 hrs and it was about a 30 planet map. I was the only one that was able to produce a titan.
I bet you made yours first than they ended up using their resources protecting themselves from the dick with the Titan lol
I wish that was the case but I barely got to use it since the game was over 30min after that. The AI plays pretty ruthlessly on normal even against each other.
