  1. Indeed. This seems to be the best alternatives. Though I still think it would be a good idea to ask Steve if he could tell us how to get the proper way like we had on PVCF.

  2. Steve coded his forum from scratch, whatever he did probably won't apply here even if he did tell us.

Quoting a section works somewhat, but it doesn't allow you to view the original post without digging back through pages. In long threads we often have people join the argument later on and reply to something from the first few pages. Before they looked like a crazy person talking to themself until you clicked the link of the post they replied to. It was a very good system! I'm amazed no other forum has implemented something similar. The closest I've seen is links within the header text of quotes.

If we can't get it we can't get it. People really need to adapt though... it's like some of you guys have never even used a different forum before ;)

  3. It would have to integrate with the current forum software and I don't know enough about it to even hazzard a go. Like most big code bases though it'll be hard to just jump in implement it so if anyone wants a go at developing an extension that would do the trick then by all means have a go.

  4. That takes way too much mouse dexterity. I might stick with @.

  5. Steve is long past the point of giving a shit, so I don't see that happening.

    @ Persons name works fine.

I've literally never seen another forum with the kind of reply feature Steve created.

  6. Steve hasn't given a shit for 4+ years. He must be constipated up the wazoo.

  7. Neither have I. In fact, when I first posted on PVCF, all of my posts were replying to the post above mine because I'd never conceived such a feature could exist.

  8. It depends on when you started posting. PVC+ originally didn't have that feature. chair implemented it later on.

  9. We're can't all be OG's like you khaid. ;)

  10. Is there a way to delete your account? Can any of the mods do it?

  11. Yes. Why, what is up?

  12. He's getting huffy because I gave him a taste of his own troll medicine. Apparently, in this case, what's good for the goose isn't good for the gander...

  13. Can you delete my account? Thank you. You should look at my edits history to see why. It was obvious though, given that Ichiban has total control over the site now.

  14. What is the reason? I don't think you should leave to be honest, not because of Ichi messing around in any case.

  15. Leave his account intact. He can just not come anymore. You know, this reminds me a little of Nenroth on the old site...

  16. I asked you nicely to not be a dick...you completely ignored that request. Seriously, what did you think was going to happen when you were asked to get back on track and instead you carried on behaving like a troll tool?

At the top of the page there is a section called RULES/FAQ; I suggest you read it. The first one quite clearly says:

    1. Don't be a spammer, a troll, or an asshat.

To be honest, since I do have some power here, I could have just banned your ass but I felt it better to give you little lesson in the finer art of being a douche. I can be the biggest dick in the world or I can be a really nice guy. It depends on your approach; carrot or stick. You chose to keep prodding me with a stick so I gave you some grief for your effort. In your case, I edited a post to suggest you liked sucking engorged mens members. That you got a little pissy..but the point is..no one likes it when you're being a dick; there's something to be said about people who are prepared to be assholes but can't take a bit of ribbing back. By all means, spam the forum to hell with your stuff just make sure that what you do post is factual or at the very least funny. There's nothing less entertaining than a troll who simply doesn't get the comedic value that they have online.

  17. What was actually posted in that thread? I don't think you should be editing people's posts like that, it seems incredibly childish and nothing good can come of it. Not professional at all.

  18. Actually, his post was edited for all of two minutes; long enough to point out that he could stop being a dong of his own free will or that I had the power to end the ass-hattery more permanently. In the end, I deleted the trolling posts and made the thread somewhat useful as opposed to a waste of space and bandwidth; however since he decided that he only wanted a thread which was entirely for him to be a douche in he deleted the whole thread after it had been fixed.

  19. I wonder what causes this unstableness in people. That's why I seriously would not want to meet any of you guys in real life.

  20. Was it going out of hand that much? As far ive seen he wasnt going crazy or anything.
Then again, couldve missed somethings as they got edited/deleted wholetime perhaps.
