  1. It did not look that bad from what I saw of it. There wasn't any blatant Xbox bashing. He just posted gears of war in the opening post as the 2011 exclusives.

  2. I tend to draw a line when you ask someone to get back on topic and behave properly. His response should have been to do as requested, not give me shit for asking him to at last participate in a thread HE created like he gave a crap about the topic. Ultimately, he didnt create the thread to be a contributing meme of the community; he created it to be a dick.

  3. I take it you missed his later posts? It's all fine if you want to sing for your team but if you're not interested in debating, listening to others why join a forum? Phisix was talking in the thread like.a normal person, why couldnt he? It had potential to be a good thread actually..

  4. Nah, I didn't really keep tabs on it.

  5. I disappear from this place for a few days and it turns into the Jersey Shore.

  6. I don't think we should be editing posts unless we need to, for proper reasons. Chairmansteve editing post titles caused enough grief in the old place. If we go down the editing posts route then we run the risk of losing further people. By all means let's argue and discuss even if we are mods and admins but let's not use our powers - our GREAT powers - for anything else.

  7. @ Ichiban

He indeed created the topic in a way to 'bash' the 360 for being only have one exclusive game to look forward to, and kept on with that.

Am made some jokes in that topic btw i remember, wasnt meand as bashing or something, am PC only :D

  8. He can say what he wants...he was pointed in the right direction and encouraged to talk about it. But he didn't want to, he just wanted to be a first class dick. The thread had the potential to be a very good thread; phisix and I both were commenting away. Once he realised his trolling was failing he just carried on trying to derail the thread and being a bit of a tit about it.

And it was less the post editing and more the post pruning that upset him; I was inclined to remove posts that were neither relevant nor generally nice after he failed to respond to the reasonably polite request to generally buck up his ideas...

  9. Did NateDrake delete all his posts? I don't see any, anymore.

  10. I think he would have left by now. I didn't want anyone to leave to be honest.

    @ Ichiban:

It did have potential and I was enjoying the small discussion we was having. Maybe you should create a new one?

  11. I will, but it'll have to wait until the morning; I've got to head to bed soon because I am shattered..

  12. In a forum like this peoples words are their identities. I believe to keep the trust of all users post should only be modified by the user and no one else. If a post is inappropriate it should be deleted or moved to an appropriate place by a mod. If someone continues to be a problem that person should be reprimanded or banned.

Thread titles are not the property of the OP. Once a thread is created it belongs to the community. Mods can modify thread titles to best serve the users of forum.

Users should not be able to delete their own threads. As mentioned, threads are owned by the community and not the OP.

This is just my opinion and may be different that others. There hasn't really been a serious conversation yet of the roles mods play so at least for now were still the wild wild west. And that's fine too.

  13. Monkey and Ichi have every option available to them with Administration , and the rest of us are here to obviously moderate with the options available to us, and to also show a different level of posting as we are here to keep and show an example since we are in power. So no power trips, flames because we are edit gods. Same goes with the two admins.

I think we may need to add the option of user classes if we need to show who is the authority of this forum. Though don't take that last sentence as us being the higher powers here.
Aka: Administrators in one colour, moderators in another and members in another. In the future we could add writers too.

  14. @bfun: Well said. I think this expands nicely on what I was talking about earlier.

  15. I've always liked the Wild West feel of PVC. My feeling is that mods shouldn't get involved unless things get really out of hand.

  16. Most importantly we are all members of the same forum. Being a mod isn't about power it's about work. Everyone who migrated to this forum believes that we can be as good or better that the original PVC. To do that we have to set roots now and trust is very important. If people don't trust the forum they will leave and leave fast. Consistency in the way the forum is moderated is important in establishing trust.

  17. The main issue is editing the content of people's posts. That's not a road to go down without very good reason. I think it will cause unrest if it were to carry on.

  18. Well said Bfun, well said.

Is everyone happy with the forum staff and how it is being run? Would be nice to see how everyone else feels.

  19. Indeed, well said ;)
    Thats some level-headed talk.

  20. Yes i think its good, but editing the text inside a post shouldnt happen. Cant remember so clear but our Chairmansteve didnt :)
