Oh duh... it sames simple machines at the bottom. I think monkey said it was vbulletin before. That's why I was asking who shelled out for the $200+ fee. I don't see why we would ever need to change again. In fact, if tapatalk supported punbb I thought the last setup was customized to perfection.
This layout is far better than the last one. Once Ichi has edited and modded to his tastes it will be even better I would assume.
I have an idea. If we remove the forum stats box, we could bump the recent posts box up to 10 recent posts without cluttering up the layout. I don't think anyone cares about forum stats that much.
Much better to be honest. There is no point in forum stats at the point in time anyway with such a small user base. Which brings me to my next point. We should try and get some new members somehow. A busier forum would be nice.
Mobile is a forum feature I've been wanting since I first got an iPhone back in 2009. And it's finally here!
It's much better than trying to use the forum in Safari, which I almost never did. I only did it a few times on the old PVCF.
I'm viewing this forum almost exclusively on my phone since it doesn't keep me logged in on my computer.
Not sure if it is an effect of tapatalk but this place seems to have been far more active over the past 24 hours than normal. Sunday is normally a very quiet day on here but you guys were really at it. More posts might get us moved up the search engines too.
It's a lot easier to post in short bursts now. I liked the old website but it was more of a fiddle to use than this.
I've also mostly been posting from my phone now that Tapatalk is enabled. There's 3G or wifi almost everywhere. And it's pretty easy to post from Tapatalk, unlike any of the browsers in Android. It's no harder than sending a text message.
I check the forum more but at the moment I am not posting that much more often. It still seems a pain to bother replying to you lot in my own free time, its OK when I am at work.
Ha! I am the same way... I post the most from work or places I don't want to be. Can't be bothered as much on "my" time.
pdraggy mentioned this a few days ago. it actually does keep you logged in. it just takes an extra click. all i do is surf to the forum home. and then click on the forum home logo to reload the page. bam logged in.
