That's what I'm saying... It was mostly us for the past few year anyway. Other than the occasional spam attack from Gripper and Alex.
Indeed. I'd like to see a few others return like David South, Masy and nenroth. They added some variety back in the day.
I think he is right, I don't remember anyone else ending up with so many enemies in my 7 or 8 years on the forum.
Sly other forum plugging for this place is a great way to try and pinch some members. It is well worth everyone who frequents other places to try this.
Oh well, we've already been filtered. Let the bestiality and scatological transvestite stories commence! I'll create a new section for erotic Star Trek and Harry Potter fan fiction, and the main site should have lots of pictures of girls making out with each other. I also hear that ass to mouth is all the rage in the porn world these days. I'll just change the forum description to the world's best nude gaming forum, and we can be the first porn/gaming site. One stop shopping for 18-34 males.
We'll have to check how the filter business goes then - I cants face movings again so hopefully it won't be a problem.
How did that happen!? Is there a way to get us off the block list? We will need google to gain new members.
It sounds like it's just a filter at his work. Besides, even if we are now considered a porn site, porn sites show up just fine on google. In fact, we'd probably get way more hits if we were a porn site rather than a gaming site.
OK. Calm down; we are not being seen as a porn site...to be honest, google won't have crawled it properly since the text was contained inside an image and while google is pretty nifty these days it can't read text thats contained inside a picture. It's possible that Alterego has a much smarter page filter at work that can do this or he has a network admin that was curious what the URL he was looking at was pointing at, checked the page himself and blocked it because he saw "that word". This is something that Alterego would have to take up with the admin of the church he works at Either way, the front page is now changed to reflect the "family" nature of PCVSCONSOLES and shouldn't be causing anymore grief, if indeed that was the problem to begin with.. *Edit: There's also a chance that the forum title The Best Non-Nude Gaming Forum! is being picked up for the word nude and the mistaken belief that we do, infact, have a nude section; which clearly we don't.....
It wasn’t Google I was worried about. There are companies like Websense that try to review all of the Internet and categories the websites. Once a site gets put in a negative category it can be blocked at schools, places of work, and of course private homes. A block like that might reduce access to a large percentage of our target audience.
