That's because Britain's time is over. You just had Scotland try to leave. It's America time now son. You have your choice between Eastern Standard, Central, Mountain, and Pacific. You know, God's time zones.

Someone good with photoshop should probably make a PVCF logo so we can get rid of that white box thing at the top of the page.

    What happened to Blues.

  4. Re: Site Rebranding & Setup

You liked that Blues theme better? The custom theme don't seem allow for user specific timezones, just one standard forum time. The server is in LA (Pacific) with a +3h adjustment to Eastern.

GMT - 4 for you UK'ers... for 4 weeks anyway.

  5. Re: Site Rebranding & Setup

I'm indifferent. I like the new front page though.

  6. Re: Site Rebranding & Setup

I changed the logo but it didn't show. So I edited the header/foot things in the CSS and it doesn't show. I'm about ready to delete the CSS file just to see what happens.

    EDIT:

Well I figured out that CloudFlare caches static things like CSS, logos, avatars, etc.. to reduce usage and increase speed. Apparently that might be why my edits weren't visible.

This place is going to look like total crap in 4 hours when the cache clears.

    It's gone all baby blue.

  8. Re: Site Rebranding & Setup

Out of curiosity how does the avatar thing work? I loaded one pic and it got shrunk vertically but not horizontally. Then my current pic was originally large but then later shrunk.

I actually think losing our hosting was the best thing that could have happened. The new site is looking nice. And having the place under the control of an inactive member who maybe drops in once a year was not a very good idea. I don't even think Ichi has noticed yet that the old site went down.

  10. Re: Site Rebranding & Setup

Haha.. the default was 65x65 but I randomly changed it to 200x150. Then I found most of my avatars are 96x96 so I changed it to that... it looks like you have to reload to get it to size right. A lot of people seem to have the original 65x65.

@cmdrmonkey. When it stayed down 3-4 days, I got the feeling he wasn't using the hosting for much of anything at that point. Might not ever notice, since he became busy with other interests.

It was nice of him to let us use his hosting, but it also meant we had no control if something went wrong, and that nothing was happening with the design of the place. It also meant you'd have weird issues with Tapatalk because nothing was ever getting updated. With how infrequently he was coming around, I knew it was just a matter of time before the site glitched and he didn't even notice.

This is much better, even though we may never get the old posts back.

I just noticed the weird titles and whatnot that we have. wtffffffffff

The old URL is going to the account suspended page rather than redirecting - think that's new. Also, we've got our first spammer. Do we want a few mods again? I don't mind doing it, it's not that taxing to do.

  14. Re: Site Rebranding & Setup

Monsly doesn't have time to be a mod. He doesn't even have time to play with his friends.

  15. Re: Site Rebranding & Setup

Chi's not a spammer... just an aggressive tapatalk user. I installed like 4 apps to prevent spamming, we'll see how far Chi gets now.

Godaddy reverted the nameserver back for some reason. I hope I don't have to keep changing this every 7 days... atleast we got to find out what would happen if we just sat and waited hoping for the old site to come back.

I'm the beating heart of this place and you know it

    What's with the woodworking man?

Any reason not to drop Other Entertainment and merge the threads into R&R? Also, what do people think about Facebook single authentication?
