Okay here is a weird one. Donate $105 dollars to Defense Grid 2 and get a 6870 video card worth about $170. You also get Defense Grid 1 and 2 which are worth maybe $20. Only 23 left. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/hiddenpath/defense-grid-2

Nice. I never would have paid full price for BF3, but at $7.50, why the hell not. I enjoyed BC2, which I also got when it was cheap.

Do you know if there's a way to redeem the Batman games on Steam using the cd-keys? I'd like to buy that pack and gift Arkham Asylum to someone.
That sale is going on for the for digital download version, not the physical copy. It's exactly what you need.
That OCTOFUN1 code isn't working for me. Maybe they only let you use it with one game during the sale.
http://slickdeals.net/f/5316094-Slickdeals-Exclusive-60-off-of-85-different-games Origin running big markdowns. Ends Oct. 13 10AM PDT.
Is EA getting ready to drop the whole Origin thing and surrender to Valve/Steam? I seem to be seeing a lot of Origin stuff deeply discounted lately.
I think they're jumping on the Steam deep discount bandwagon which is funny, because I recall EA saying that Steam sales devalue intellectual property. http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/06/06/ea-senior-vp-comments-on-steam-sales-%E2%80%9Ci-just-think-it-cheapens-your-intellectual-property-%E2%80%9D/
I don't know, I just really get the impression Origin isn't doing well at all in terms of sales. Even ME3 and BF3 have been deeply discounted. It seems like they're finally coming around to Steam style sales, since nothing on Origin is selling, but I don't see a reason Origin even needs to exist in the first place. EA is not a special snowflake that needs its own download service. It almost seems to me like the clowns running EA think they're like Blizzard and can get away with charging whatever they want, but the market has spoken.
EA has been getting away with charging whatever they want for years now, but it's really become noticable in recent years. They were among the first to implement the "we want money twice from the same game" codes.
Well if game stores are happy to be paid twice for the same game then the devs should probably get a cut too. The online pass is for multiplayer anyway and the servers cost money to run
