I don't aim to get all the trophies in a game as soon as I can. I like to play the game unaided as intended and once I've completed the game I usually start trophy hunting.
Oh yeah obviously, otherwise it would be boring then. I always play the game for fun first then when done I mop up things.
Yeah that was me. I'm guessing the two parts you're referring to are the parts where you jump while boosting to skip a whole section and hit the orange rings and the bit near the end where you stomp through the wooden floor. I didn't know you could do those things either until I saw a video on youtube. The world record is about 10 seconds quicker than the time I managed in that video! I've just finished all of the damn challenges and I'll never play them again. They were not fun at all and really just pissed me off a lot, I'm glad they're done. All I have left to do now is get the red rings, S rank all the Acts and pick up some miscellaneous hidden trophies and I'm done.
I have not played it for a long while. I still have so much to do in that game but I am also playing Sonic Unleashed, Naruto Ultimate Storm 2, Dark Souls and U1. Did you get the trophy for not getting hit by the end boss in generations yet?
I nearly had it first time but I was hit once. Getting more rings to stay alive in that battle seems harder than that trophy.
Is that even a sentence? It wasn't finding much. The challenges don't have to be s ranked so that makes them super easy and quick. I used YouTube for the red rings. Easy peasy.
Shut it I have only just woken up since I could not sleep last night and my brain has not activated yet. I bet it took such a grind fest to get your platinum? Better?
I wouldn't call it grinding as all the challenges are different, it's more like ploughing through it.
The only things that would annoy me would be going for the red rings and the S-ranks. The challenges and the re-doing of every level with both classic and Modern Sonic online for one trophy is just like you said: ploughing through it. I may play some generations later as it has been a while and I might as well get this platinum done since I have loads of games to finish.
S ranks are piss easy. Just finish the level without dying and taking forever. The red rings are easily gotten with youtube videos, I hate collectibles so I always go to youtube to get them done quickly.
