  1. How could they steer you to a different model if you can easily upgrade the RAM yourself on the 27"? Plus, Dell doesn't even currently offer factory customization for their 27" all-in-one.

  2. It's just common sense really. If someone tries to sell me a Honda Civic for $60,000, I have to make the rational deduction that they really don't want to part with their Civic. Apple clearly has developed an unhealthy emotional attachment to their stock of 32GB of RAM.

  3. So you consider a $25 difference between what Apple charges for 16 GB RAM ($200) and what Dell charges for 16 GB of RAM ($175) to be the equivalent of Honda charging $60,000 for a Civic?

  4. But the equivalent iMac is $30 cheaper with 16 GB RAM than the Dell all-in-one.

  5. No. I'm going by the Newegg price on 32GB of ram. Dell also seems to want to hold on to their precious stock of memory sticks. Maybe they know something we don't.

  6. Yeah, but the $600 RAM only pertains to the 27" iMac, and it's the 27" that allows easy access to upgrade RAM manually without paying for factory install.

  7. But why upgrade yourself when they can do it for you?

  8. Does Newegg do it for you?

  9. What's Newegg?

  10. Its a bloody stupid name for a company.

  11. Touche. But GAME. How more unoriginal can you get?

  12. Yeah and look what happened to them, nearly went bust!

  13. The best part of the last few pages is how bfun's problem got sidelined for PC vs Mac trolling.

  14. It only transforms into trolling when people realize their points don't exactly line up with reality. Then they can pretend they weren't being serious. Works every time... ;)

  15. Yeah nobody cares about me. I won’t even bring up the CMOS failed error I get when I boot up.

  16. That's an odd one, usually only see that on Macs.....

  17. I don't know who you mean. I stand by everything I posted. I was referring to you & chi, he trolled your ass like he was Steve Jobs and you were some rich hipster.

  18. No, chi will start out trying to score a legitimate point or two, then reverts to trolling if things look bleak. Grim will exaggerate for effect and humor, but I think he believes the basic points he's trying to make. Fusion believes everything he says. The exaggeration is not for effect. khaid doesn't troll because he doesn't have an irrational fear of Apple despite his own preferences. bfun will make some jokes here and there at Apple's expense, but doesn't really troll and seems largely rational about the comparisons.
