  1. @bfun

No. I downloaded it off bittorrent and it sucked balls.

  2. But I like balls. Chocolate salty balls. And I like Fable.

  3. The controls of The Witcher seemed unbearable to me from what I've played of it, but they haven't been an issue in The Witcher 2. The controls aren't close to the precision of Demon's Souls, which I view as the best ever in an action/RPG, but they aren't bad, either.

The visuals in this game are truly breathtaking. It looked good in pictures. It looks fantastic in motion on my screen. I have almost all the settings at max. The exception is supersampling, which is a destroyer of frames.

  4. I'd get The Witcher 2 instead. I found it for a bit over $30 yesterday. It seems well worth the difference in price compared to the likes of Fable III.

  5. Already have it. :D

And it is beautiful. I love the forest canopy as the sun goes down.

  6. Oh, I didn't see it in your list of games. I just started playing it today. It's definitely one of the best looking games I've ever seen and hands down the sharpest looking RPG.

  7. I hated the first Witcher, and could never make it more than an hour or so into it. Will I like the second one?

  8. I really enjoyed the Witcher 2 early on. In the first Witcher game, I must have been doing something wrong, as I could barely get the character to attack or function properly. I just didn't seem to get the way the controls were laid out. In The Witcher 2, it seems simplified and easy to use. I believe I read that the developers were inspired somewhat by Demon's Souls (a very, very good thing if you like action/RPGs), and I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.

Ah, I found one of the guys from CD Projekt talking about being a fan of Demon's Souls. He actually brings it up himself in the interview.

I've seen them praise Demon's Souls multiple times. Arkham Asylum and Heavy Rain were also mentioned as influences.

The difficulty, gameplay, and combat have clearly influenced this game quite positively. It can't match Demon's Souls combat system, but it is worlds better than what they used in the original Witcher game. I'm sure this idea horrifies Hellripper (WTF?!? Consolized!!!!!!!), but everyone else should greatly appreciate the improvements over the first game. From what I've read, it's very easy to play it with an 360 controller, although I've only used kb/m myself.

  9. No

Got it from gog.com instead of Steam. I like what they are doing as a company so I gave them a shot.

  10. Picked up Defense Grid for $2.50. Heard it was a really good tower defense.

  11. would buy more but fact is I got so many games from the winter sale to play I'll have to stop there. Steam, you ARE your own worst enemy!!

  12. Pretty much the same situation for me. I loaded up big during the winter sale and now have more games than I have time to play.

  13. Get Defense Grid. Well worth the $2.50 price. It's sort of like Starcraft but dumbed down.

  14. Spent many hours on defense grid and own all the expansions + dlc maps. Awesome game if you take the time to get into it which isn't hard since the scenario does very well at easing you in.

  15. Level 18 is kicking my ass. I've put over an hour into it so far. I hate getting half way through a level and then having the aliens bust through somewhere.

  16. During the wintersale I bought some stuff.
I have been looking into buying the doom package and Quake, but thought it to be somewhat more then I would want to spend on stuff I already have on disc.

I bought Audiosurf. Got lot's of music, so that would be cool too.

Not sure if there would be anything left for me to buy.
    Currently working on some achievements.

  17. Got Worms Reloaded for $5. I've never played a Worms game.

  18. !!!

My favourite is Worms Armageddon on the PC, followed closely by Worms 3D on the PS2. Don't ever get Worms Forts... ever.

  19. I played the first Worms game, loved it, but never played any of the others passed a demo. It's just the same game every damn time. Worse than Madden.

    lol Worm farts... lol

  20. It's fun but very frustrating. I wish I could re-assign keys and speed up the game play. I've killed myself so many times because the fire key is the space bar and jump is enter. Totally backwards.
