    The original was trashy 80's action but, in fairness, I kinda enjoyed it. Stallone looks great for a man in his 60's but I guess if you're pumping yourself full of Human Growth Hormone then you're gonna look pretty sharp at that age.

    Anyway, the sequel is here next year and it will expand the roles of Willis and Schwarzenneger (who were mere cameos last time around)

    It also features Chuck Norris and Van Damme now - washed out action heroes? Perhaps, but can you imagine if you showed someone this trailer even 10 years ago they'd say you were full of shit

    I thought the first one was a good bit of fun and didn't feel like I had wasted my time watching it. The only bit I didn't like was near the end, the fire effects were so bad it was laughable.

    Normally I can't stand Jason Statham but he was bearable in this one.

    I felt the same way. It was crap, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it. It felt like a reunion of the 80s action stars. This one looks like it has pretty much everyone except for Steven Seagal. They even got Van Damme and Chuck Norris.

    I think Jason Statham has found his level; he's not a great actor but he does the job of looking like a tough guy in a room full of tough guys.

    The fact he got Norris involved sells it to me. Stallone looks like a bit of a meathead but he certainly knows how to push fanboy buttons by hiring near enough everyone he can think of that were popular in the late 80's and early 90's

    I wonder if he tried to get Seagal and he turned him down for whatever reason. The guy has gotten so fat, he's not really believable as an action star these days anyway, and he seems content to do crap direct to video stuff.

    Edit: Apparently Van Damme refused to work with Seagal.

    If he was in it then they would have to change the plot. Seagal doesn't do films unless he is playing a cop wrongly accused of murder getting revenge for the death of his wife.

    Yeah, they hate each other. Apparently Segal repeatedly opened his mouth about kicking JCVD's ass and then one day pussied out of a fight at Stallones house when he was offered the chance to put his money where his mouth is:
