The Great US vs UK Food Debate

  1. Yeah whuts up with the Swedish fish?

  2. Indo-Chinese food is the best stuff I've tasted. This guy has good recipes that I can never do properly. But he's hilarious and makes funny sounds.

  3. That makes Londoners dirty tramps then doesn't it. Then again, have you ever tried Eel? It may be nice, but I would never try it.

Anyway, once again you dislike a food based on appearance, and then we have done it to your food. Voided discussion again as everyone has different tastes, and as me and you have not tried each others food, that is a double void.

  4. Yes I've eaten eel before. It's one of the only things I don't like that much at sushi/sashimi places. I certainly wouldn't want to eat the slime that comes off of it.

  5. What did it taste like!?? You must have had balls to try it. Then again I would try Sushi as I am not keen on fish, except Fish cakes and Fish Fingers. :D

  6. Hard to describe. It's somewhat fishy, but it also tastes like something else I can't put into words, and it has a strong taste, or maybe that's the sauce they put on it. There's a sugary sauce they put on top of it that's not bad that masks the taste of it somewhat. I've eaten it a few times, but like I said, it's one of my least favorite things at a sushi place.

  7. Eel isn't too bad, it's quite a firm flesh and a bit chewy but doesn't actually taste of much.

Fried snakes are nice but there's bugger all meat on them.

  8. I think it's the chewiness of it that I don't like.

I'll eat pretty much anything at a sushi place, and I often just go with a plate of sashimi because I actually like to taste the fish, but I really don't like eel and it's not something I ever order.

  9. You guys eat some dirty shit, and Eel must not be that bad as you have eaten it a few times Monkey. Still, I would not touch it.

I would love to try a Americans BBQ though. I bet you have the best ones! Meat feast ahoy!

  10. It's not chinese. The clue's in the name, English mustard :) I have to admit on hotdogs american mustard is the best. But on beef it has to be colemans.

  11. Tell me about it. I'd normally never eat cucumber but today I ate a pile of it I had in a salad; I was that hungry. However, the trick is to eat smaller meals more often and that way you never get a chance to let the pangs kick in and put you on autopilot to a pizza or something.

I'm not so much missing food but I'm missing my beer.

  12. American mustard isn't really what I'd class as a proper mustard, it's kinda like ketchup without the tomato flavour.

  13. No one really eats british food anyway apart from the tourists. We all eat kebabs, pizzas, indians etc. Maybe that says something about our traditional dishes.

  14. You can't go wrong with pork bbq or baby back ribs. And every good bbq joint has it's own homemade sauce or sauces which are always fun to try.

  15. It only goes with certain foods, like hot dogs or certain kinds of sandwiches.

  16. LOL! British food is so bad that even British people don't eat it.

  17. Everybody knows the English only eat Grey Poupon.
