The Great US vs UK Food Debate

  1. In honor of supersonics Fatness I've made my own fatty burger. It's 80/20 beef with a bucket of blue cheese and some Mexican chorizo thrown in. Chorizo is basically hot spicy sausage which is the red stuff oozing out of the burger. Threw some bacon and mayo on it and had a meal.

  2. Heart attack incoming! Those actually look quite nice. What is that white stuff on your plate, Mayo?

  3. Yup. Mayo and Ketchup for the fries.

  4. Lol makes me feel hungry :D

  5. The scary thing about that is that half of it is true and half of it is total rediculousness so I wonder how many people will believe that it's all true?

  6. don't make me connect my fist to your slappy ham

  7. In the UK

    French fries =

    chips =

If I'm ever in America, I'll be getting the biggest rooty tooty and point it in everyone's slappy hams.

  8. Cold on a cob made laugh too. Sounds like something Robin would say. I might have to start calling Ice Lollies (correct term) Cold on a Cob :)

  9. Ice Lollies? Bahahaha

  10. Yeah. Cuz they're like lollipops, but made of ice. Makes more sense than popsicle.

  11. In Australia we just call them ice blocks. Technically speaking this is the most correct term, as they are indeed mostly just a solid water block.

  12. Just to set the record straight about scones. I just had this one on my tea break.

Notice the copious amounts of whipped cream and jam, with a light dusting of caster sugar on top. That is a scone, if it doesn't look like that then it's not a scone.

  13. What about if you're like me and do not like copious amounts of cream, and as such only have a small layer of cream with some strawberry jam in a freshly baked scone? Is that still a scone?

  14. If it looks at least a bit like the picture above then yes. The amount of cream and jam isn't really important, the fact that they're included however, is.

  15. Now I know what I need to pick up at lunch, thanks for that!

  16. I don't understand the appeal of scones. There are tastier alternates for bread.

No way would I be able to down that creamy jammy scone in that pic. My stomach would reject it.

  17. I'm not a great fan of scones but I had some in Devon that were amazingly nice; that region is meant to be the best for them.

  18. On a glorious day like today I can think of nothing better than sitting outside eating a nice scone with lashings of good cream.

They say it should last into the weekend, I do HATE being at work when its 7 degrees above average with clear blue skies.

  19. Yeah, nice weather does suit them. It's cracking weather here but I'm snowed under and in a far from cheery mode so I'm doubly missing out. Got a bloody stressy headache too. Jebus.
