A large pizza here (12 slices) cost about £15. Of course a meal, something like large pizza + 2 sides works out better value but that is usually £20. If there are more than 3 of you and you need 2 pizzas your looking at £30+ easy whereas a kfc bucket for example is like £11!
Why is pizza so expensive? It's just dough, sauce, and cheese. I mean if you're really desperate for pizza here, you can get a Red Baron at the grocery store for literally like $2.99.
Its cheap from supermarkets but delivery is expensive. Our high minimum wage and petrol prices are probably a factor.
Pizza is dirt cheap here. Its considered college food. We had a Cici pizza buffet for $2.99 lunch with student id. Fucking greatness.
Yup yup. Apple pie pizza and the bavarian. They also have cinnamon sticky buns (non pizza) which alone is worth the price of admission.
Pizza is a lot like sex where it's never really bad (unless it's in prison with a large angry black man named Tyrone, which i guess would be the equivalent of eating Godfather's). But if I have any choice in the matter I really like margherita pizzas with real water buffalo mozzarella from places that use woodburning ovens. They're damn tasty when done right, and I probably would check into a hotel room to eat one by myself.
I tried a specialty pizza at a mom/pop italian joint that became my favorite. Grilled chicken, bacon, thousand island, and cheese.
So bacon sundae is a thing now.. I don't even know how people even think stuff like this is tasty. http://newsfeed.time.com/2012/06/13/the-bacon-sundae-is-coming/ blehhhhhhhh
I think the saltiness of the bacon compliments the toffee/caramel flavour of the actual sundae. Much like salted caramels are the best thing ever.
Ok, ok, so you like pig when it's in an unrecognisable block mixed with other miscellaneous animal based products.
