  1. I plan to make a English Trifle.

  2. Just lookin at that makes me fatter

  3. It's just mostly custard, jelly, fruit and cream. Just don't look over at American food.

  4. I used to hate the sponge in trifles when I was a kid but now it is probably my favourite part.

  5. The jelly is what irks me these days. But I can't get enough of the custards

  6. How do you eat a trifle?

  7. With a big spoon.

  8. and a happy tummie

  9. Even Corgis don't like British food:

He probably expected bacon and instead it was some weird British sludge from a jar.

And seriously, what's with the tagline "one either loves it or one hates it"? It's like you guys have pretty much given up. Even the companies making your food know it's a bad joke.

  10. You would have to try marmite to understand but truly you do either love it or hate it, there is no in-between. It is yeast extract, I can't stand it but the wife likes it.

The slogan has been 'you either love it or hate it's for as long as I can remember, possibly longer than I have been alive but it does well.

  11. To be fair I love Marmite on toast with butter in much the same way I love a good cheese on toast, it's awesome. It's much less enjoyable on plain bread.

  12. what's wrong with his upper lip? It seems to go up totally random.

  13. Brown sludge made from industrial by-products. Yum!

The American equivalent is peanut butter, which is awesome and delicious.

Nobody likes Marmite. Even the company that makes it basically acknowledges that they're selling you industrial waste in a jar.

    Apparently vegemite isn't much better:

  14. Peanut butter is awful, at a push I would actually rather eat marmite.

  15. Peanut butter is closer to Nutella than Vegemite.

  16. Do you guys have jam or preserves over there? Here's what's in my fridge:

Ingredients: Fresh apricots, corn syrup, sugar, pectin, citric acid. It's ground fruit with sugar and a natural thickener.

No yeasty, salty industrial by-product nastiness.

Sounds much more appealing than yeasty goo.

  17. Peanut butter is OK on its own, but pair it up with jam or preserves, oh man, what a delicacy. That'd be a cheap breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

  18. add honey or bannanas
