I usually like Taco Bell's experimental menu but this one doesn't appeal to me at all. I'm gonna hard pass without a try. Did you guys catch the Double Chalupa / Spicy Double Chalupa over the summer? That was another home run, imo. Looks like I forgot to post it here.
Is that actually him? £11.90 for a shitty looking burger and a small amount of chips, fuck off London/Oxford prices I can get two meals for that from a normal burger place or kebab house down here and looking better than that. £8 for a burger lol.
It's not a small amount of fries... they usually fill the bag with 3-4 extra scoops. Five Guys is one of lifes great mysteries. My eyes and brain say it's low quality patties and won't taste good. But my taste buds overrule it as one of the best burger spots. The only downsides are it really is expensive (2nd only to Shake Shake), and I feel super sluggish afterwards.
Went to McDonalds today and ordered some chicken tenders. The guy says what sauce you want. I say what you got. He says all the sauces and then mumbled szechuan. I'm thinking that sounds like szechuan so I ask the guy at the window if that's what he said and he said yes. He said they had exactly 16 packets of the Mulan szechuan sauce and they'd only be selling them at 2:00 PM. He also said I'd never get one because the restaurant was packed with people waiting to get them. He said some people camped out for them and that I couldn't steal them unless I broke in through the window in the back of the store because they were locked away in the cooler. Mulan came out in 1998 so ... gross.
Yeah Rick and Morty used it in one of their episodes and it blew up on twitter so they had to do a limited time to bring it back. The writers did get a special delivery of it a while back.
Angry mob chants "we want sauce!" after McD's runs out of the special edition Mulan sauce. https://www.theguardian.com/busines...s-rick-and-morty-promotion-heats-up?CMP=fb_gu
I think the heating element in my crock pot might be failing. I tried cooking a corned beef in it today and it would just not get tender. I finally decided to just transfer it to a dutch oven and cook it in that. Maybe I'll give instapot a try. I keep hearing good things about those. Supposedly you can make similar stuff to the crock pot, but it's fast.
I think I just ate the most fried food I've ever eaten in one sitting. I bought a bunch of high-end fish and chips for a bunch of people. Everyone got full and I wasn't letting it go to waste. In a totally random coincidence it's also National Greasy Foods Day. I'm a little concerned I might not wake up alive. Should I drink some bourbon or something to thin the blood out?
My wife and son are sick, and I'm starting to get sick, so we decided to stay home and quarantine ourselves from the rest of the family. I'm doing a small turkey, with some stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, and cranberry sauce. Hope the turkey comes out ok. I haven't done one in years.
We had to do that one year. It sucked having to cancel at the last minute but there were older vulnerable people coming and we had a particularly nasty virus.
