  1. Does this forum not have this thread yet? I swore it did, which was the first time I've heard of this game. But search results couldn't find it.

Well, at PAX, they showed the same scenario as in the E3 trailer, but this time, they took an alternate route.

Spoilers: it's just as brutal as the initial route.

  2. Yep, it still looks interesting. I really like the approach that they've taken to the voice acting in this game. None of the lines are being delivered like they're trying to be dramatic. It all sounds very natural, which helps to draw you into the survival aspect of it more.

  3. I'm liking that they give you the option to not just kill everyone. A guy in that situation protecting a young girl wouldn't exactly just go Nathan drake on every bad guy. Most people are probably still going to try and play this way but I do hope they make it incredibly hard and pointless to do so.

  4. Just seen the PAX video. This game is going to immense. GOTY game for sure.

  5. This game is good. 10 out of men good.

There was an autosave glitch where the autosave would get stuck whilst trying to send some data to their server but that's been rectified on their end so everything should be fine now.

  6. Missing out on so many great games on the PS3. :(

  7. I bought it yesterday. I'll start playing it when I get back tonight.

  8. The audio quality and sound design in this game are unreal. I think they've topped the Uncharted games. Definitely set it to PCM if you have the audio equipment to take advantage of it. Phil Kovats, the same audio wizard who worked on all the Uncharted games and God of War III, has pulled off his finest work to date. The audio is not just part of a nice presentation, either. Some of the toughest enemies use sound to locate you. Stealth is very important. And in addition to just sounding incredible and being an important component of gameplay, Naughty Dog just knows how to use sound properly. Rather than attempting to overwhelm with loud, high quality audio samples and booming, intrusive music the way blockbuster shooters (and movies) might, it's just used in a completely natural, minimalist way. Music, samples, and audio cues are only used when they should be and as they should be. Really impressive.

Expect The Last of Us to do a full sweep the audio awards this year, including the pool of upcoming next generation games.

  9. I'm playing it tomorrow. Can't wait. Definitely going to don headphones for this one.
