Trollmander-in-Chief 2.0: The Return

  1. Anthony Wiener seems like a character Ben Stiller would play. A hapless buffoon that just wants to sext. But inadvertently brings down his wife, Clinton, and the USA.

It's not funny but also hard not to LOL.

  3. The whole election was a troll job.... I did a write in for Bernie Sanders, the real democratic party nominee.

  4. How likely does a Trump win look? I hear it's still being cast as unlikely but the Brexit result has me wondering. The UK really does feel like it's circling the toilet at the moment; hope the US doesn't jump in too.

  5. It was all Hillary until the FBI got involved again. A candidate needs 270 elector votes to win. Polls had Hillary over 270 but now she's down to 268 and Trump is at 204. That means Trump would have to win every battleground state. A battle ground state that can go either way. I think the unofficial Vegas odds of him winning are around 22%. In the end it may come down to voter turn out. These are the two most unliked candidates in history so a lot of people aren't going to vote.

I did early voting. I (grudgingly) voted for Hillary as the lesser of the two evils, and felt pretty dirty after doing it. I considered writing someone in or voting third party, but Trump is just too dangerous to do something like that. There's too much at stake, like marriage equality and Obamacare. The polling place was a complete ghost town in a mostly Democratic area. Made me wonder if many people are turning out to vote. Everyone seems to despise these candidates. If the Democratic Party had run anyone other than Hillary, this would be the easiest election ever. Trump is cartoonishly villainous. That the polls are even close is absolutely pathetic.

She will probably win. But it's going to be close, and it really shouldn't be.

  7. The same could be said for the republicans. I think they could have replaced Trump after that grab the pussy tape came out and still had a good chance of winning.

I despise both of these candidates. The difference with Trump is that I think he might actually put an end to 200+ years of democracy in the US. He seems to want to turn the US into a Putin style right wing dictatorship/oligarchy. And the Russians really want him elected. He is talking about having Hillary jailed after the election, and his followers want her executed. He wants to sue journalists who have criticized him. He's saying he may not accept the election results unless he wins. Disposing of political rivals, silencing journalists, and not accepting election results are things dictators do. And there might be enough dumb, racist rednecks to actually elect this fascist buffoon. There are many things to be angry about right now, but throwing away democracy and putting a dictator in power is not the answer.

I hope that if he loses, the Republican party just implodes on itself. They could have put a stop to this madness with Trump at any time. Instead they have demonstrated that they will always put the welfare of their party ahead of the welfare of the country.

  9. According to Princeton University we are already a corporate oligarchy. Anyway, there is virtually no chance of Trump winning which is why I went ahead with a protest vote.

I hope both these parties get fractured. The GOP is more or less already there. Hopefully we come back in 4 years with more than 2 serious parties.

  10. Fractured but whole?

  11. We'll see in 2 days... I think they are going to get pummeled by mere association with Trump. The GOP was always the racist, homophobic, religious nut job party. But they kept it low key and focused on small govt as their flagship policy. Now they've thrown it all away to embraced the under-educated, under-employed, extremist, demographic.

They will be losing the rich white vote to democrats for the first time ever. If that vote goes libertarian/new party and democratic progressives head to the green party/new party, I think it'll be good in the long run.

I think both Clinton or (by some miracle) Trump will only last one term. They are both campaigning on and will win based on opposition hatred alone. Which is about even, at 60%.

Totally agree that our two party system needs to end. Both of these parties suck. The Republican party is far worse with all of the racism, sexism, homophobia, and religious bullshit, but the Democratic Party isn't really liberal or progressive. It's a center right status quo party that wants people to think it's liberal and progressive by paying lip service to progressive ideals. Except they never do anything to actually implement them. We have no real left leaning option. We need more than just two viable options. Would love to see the Green Party become viable. I agree with most of their platform.

If I'm not mistaken, Britain has like four or five political parties that are viable. We need something like that here. I'm not sure who these parties are supposed to represent other than bigoted/religious nutjobs, banks, and billionaires. There is no one looking out for the rest of us.

  13. Jebus. Now the FBI is saying the new emails they found didn't change the original conclusion on no criminal charges.

  14. Yes we have lots of parties but people only really consider Labour (middle) and Conservative (right-middle) as the real candidates and as a result tend to pick the lesser of two evils when it comes to polling.

Saying that Scotland went all out and voted in the SNP who are quite liberal but put Scotland first as their majority and as such they hold 54 seats in parliament.

The Lib Dems (left) really shot themselves in the foot by joining the forces of evil and aligning themselves with the conservatives to make the last government, they went from having 57 seats to just 8. People basically took all of their frustrations out on them for all of the choices the government made. Just today the benefit cap is getting lowered again from no more than £500/week to no more than £384/week, as always the poorest take the hardest hit and with rents being so high and the lack of social housing as the conservatives are selling it all off it means 10,000s of poor families will end up in rent arrears and homeless. Then the local councils will be forced to try to find the money so they aren't really solving the problems, meanwhile the rich pay less taxes of course.

The greens over here are the only party that wan't to commit to more social housing but they will never get in and always sit on one seat.

Give it another 5 years and with the lack of money, brexit and stupid house prices/rents this country will likely be considered third world.

  15. The two main parties in the United States are 'Democratic' and 'AntiDemocratic'. Those are your choices. Of course, if you choose 'AntiDemocratic' then you don't really want a choice to begin with.

  16. Just one of many, may examples of how Trump lies constantly.

  17. Got my vote in…and it wasn't for Trump. I also voted 'Yes' on Prop 4, which means if it passes then bfun can make pot jokes at my expense in the future.

  18. lol it's over by noon. Record Latino turnout in Florida. RIP Trump Troll Train. I shall miss thee. #GoAT.
