99% of the world have become overly sensitive idiots, you can't say anything anymore without offending someone, we should all just have our mouths sewn up at birth. I would hate to be a comedian in the modern world, can't make a joke about anything. America seems to have it worst at the moment, you can't say Merry Christmas to anyone and if you refer to someone as he or she you are likely to be committing hate speech because of whatever gender binary people are.
Why would one person be considered overly sensitive vs. the other? It's meaningless. People have different opinions and are supposed to be allowed to speak them in a free society. In the United States, there are a lot of people who aren't accustomed to having women or minorities feeling free to speak out and have a hard time accepting that it's really the same thing as their own free speech.
It goes both ways though. The problem with SJWs is they don't actually believe in free speech and can't handle different opinions. Anyone they disagree with is labeled a bigot. Any opinion they disagree with is hate speech. They don't seem to understand how to disagree with someone but be respectful towards them. Also, the majority of SJWs are privileged white college students from middle class or wealthy backgrounds. Some typical SJWs: Can't handle different opinions? Why the fuck are you in college? College is supposed to be all about exposure to new ideas, not coddling students with "safe spaces." And these kids wonder why no one wants to hire them. They are walking discrimination lawsuits waiting to happen. The instant their ideas are challenged, they break into crybaby temper tantrums, and demand safe spaces and apologies because their feelings got hurt.
But this is the problem, people become overly offended when an opinion doesn't match theirs or it is OK to make a joke about one set of people but if you do it about them or something they believe then they kick off like you just raped and murdered a one day old baby. I am all for difference of opinion but don't complain about it when mine is different to yours. If you want the right to your opinion then allow me the right to mine. Too many hypocrites in the world.
When I think of SJWs it's not really a particular political ideology fighting for something. It's more like a wacky cult engaging in mob justice. They don't believe in free speech and try to suppress dissenters. More recently, there has been a disturbing trend of trying to ruin peoples by contacting employers and things like that. The initial incident may seem like a good cause, but the response is usually a mega-overreaction.
