Dems are losing. They really learned nothing from 2016. They will keep losing until they figure it out.
Yep. A far left socialist lost Texas with 49% of the vote. That's fucking amazing. Instead of being amazed the idiot analysts think he should have run a more moderate campaign. Precisely the wrong conclusion. I bet they will run a quasi-moderate-corporate Democrat in 2020 and get their ass handed to them by Trump.
Exactly. The think they lose because they are too liberal and progressive. They lose because they are not liberal and progressive enough to energize their mostly liberal and progressive voter base to get out and vote. If they ran young progressive candidates everywhere, they would dominate. Ocasio Cortez is another example. She's a socialist. Was called too liberal to ever win. People said she was too young. And yet, she won and it was by a landslide of almost 80% of the vote. Instead of learning and trying something different, Dems seem to double down on a failed strategy. The definition of insanity is trying the same thing again and again and expecting a different result, and that's where they are at right now.
I really like Cortez. She's a really genuine, down to earth person who understands what people struggle with in this country. Dems need more people like her. I hope she goes far. Maybe one day she could even be president.
They flopped in the senate. Lost or are likely to lose some key governors races (FL, GA). And their lead in the house is tiny. More like a blue whimper than a blue wave.
I wonder if people turn more conservative as they age. Otherwise, it seems like the GOP is going to be irrelevant as their current demographic ages out. Probably still another 8-16 years though.
I think that's what will happen but it's going to be awhile. The GOP is despised by most people under a certain age. Even a lot of younger conservatives aren't big fans of it. But it will probably be awhile before enough Baby Boomers die off for it to become irrelevant. We might see a future where Dems are the moderate/conservative party, and some new progressive party emerges. But I think that's a decade or two away at least. I don't think people change. I think that ideas that were once progressive become mainstream/moderate/conservative. Look at us. Our ideas were probably considered very progressive 10-15 years ago. But we look moderate compared to younger millennials who go off the deep end with extreme SJW stuff that leaves us scratching our heads.
LOL I read this article about how Putin thinks he's controlling Trump, but he's just another victim of the greatest troll of all time. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/p...ut-its-really-the-other-way-around-2018-11-07
LOL @ Trump's press conference. I'd hate to be on the WH Press duty... getting trolled on a daily basis.
Broward is still counting votes, and it's a heavily populated, mostly Democratic county. Gillum withdrew his concession. Rick Scott may end up losing the Senate seat he thought he won. His lead has dwindled as the votes are counted. Our elections supervisor seems incompetent and people on both sides are angry at her.
Is there anything Florida doesn't fuck up? Are they trying to trigger their lunatic population to violence?
No and yes. What I find hilarious about Brenda Snipes is how she looks like she just doesn’t give a fuck about anything.
Dear god no. The Democratic Party has gone full retard. They are going to run Hillary again. https://www.wsj.com/articles/hillary-will-run-again-1541963599
The GOP does a great job of making the Democrats a single point bogeyman. Something for their poor uneducated demographic to blame and fear. Voter demographics don't allow for something like that with Democrats. They have no such bogeyman and the attempts to try it with Kavannah and Trump backfired. On top of that, they do A LOT of self-inflicted damage by shooting John Wicks dog and stealing his car.
