He inherited about 413 million (inflation adjusted) from his father. Doesn't seem like he actually made that much money considering what was given to him. He might have even been better off financially just doing low risk investing like money market accounts than all the stuff with real estate.

So in conclusion, CNN, MSNBC, and other news organizations have been pumping out fake news about non-existent collusion and imminent impeachment for 2 years, exactly like Trump said. The Mueller Report was supposed to be Trump's ultimate undoing, but instead it's a massive victory that vindicates him and makes his opponents look dishonest and desperate.

  3. I could easily see this flipping around and becoming an investigation into the investigation.

  4. Of all the hype that ever failed to deliver, this hype failed to deliver the most.

We all have to come to terms with the fact that Trump isn't a Russian spy. He really is a real life internet troll and in it just for the lulz.

    Unbelievable.

  5. Eh the first Amazon Prime Day might have been a worse let down.

  6. Weird thing is 2 years ago I argued with Alterego about the Russia thing being stupid. But with the relentless media blitz by last year I was certain he not only colluded but the whole pee tape blackmail thing was real.

I hope the democrats take the L and move on. If they keep at this, they will be damaging themselves in 2020 in my opinion.

I also initially thought it was fake news. I called it a liberal version of the Fox News Benghazi stuff during the Obama years, and made fun of alterego for being hysterical. But I also got taken by the media blitz in the last year. I should have gone with my gut feeling.

  8. I thought this Russian collusion faux controversy was nonsense from the start. Not much has changed from my perspective. There is simply no evidence to substantiate it. It has been satisfying to see media talking heads melting down over this, though. Well deserved.

  9. @bfun buying facebook ads and trolling on twitter is pretty tame in terms of meddling in elections. They did hack the DNC, but long before Trump's outburst on TV. Considering the violent regime changes the US Govt has been involved it, it's all pretty PG stuff. Anyone going to jail so far has basically been convicted of lying to the federal govt. This was kinda sold to the public as Trump being a Manchurian candidate and that appears to be false.

Mitch McConnell is now trying to NOT release the full report, which honestly seems like another setup. They are trying to get Dems all riled up and they will eventually release it and there will be nothing there.

  10. I think the Russians did some things to try to help Trump get into office. I just don't get the impression Trump was directly connected to it on his end or even aware of a lot of it.

  11. FUCKING LOLZ.

For the first time since maybe high school... the United States Treasury shall be cutting me a goddamned check!!!!!

  12. I celebrated too early... I did indeed get federal money back but owe a boat load of local tax for some reason...

  13. I'm glad I did mine twice. I almost missed a $700 tax credit. I still can't figure out why I owe the state.

  14. I figured out why I owe. My wife's company has been paying taxes to the wrong state. I might have to go to a pro to figure this out. I think my state will penalize me for under paying all year.

  15. LOL good luck getting an accountant 3 days before the deadline. If you paid taxes to another state can't you just net it out against your home state? It's like that almost everywhere. You might have to pay the difference if the home state taxes are higher than the state you paid.

  16. I think I got it figured out. I have to file with MS as a non-resident with 0 income. That should get my money back from them. Then I just file normally in Colorado and of course pay all my taxes at once. It looks like Colorado will wave the penalty for not paying all year.

  17. Did she actually work in MS or just for an MS based company that didn't pay CO? If she actually performed work in MS they are going to want that tax. You're supposed to deduct it on the CO return. Working in multiple states is a pain in the ass.

  18. These anti-abortion laws are pretty terrifying. The one in Alabama doesn't even make exceptions for rape and incest. The Georgia version would have the police investigate miscarriages. The people pushing these things are counting on legal challenges, and taking this to the supreme court with the ultimate goal being to overturn Roe v Wade.

At some point Democrats are going to need to start to come up with good ideas. This is the type of crap will start to get passed when conservatives' opposition's platform revolves around screaming "That's racist, sexist, and Islamophobic!" and is too dumb for The Onion to parody. Trying to field someone like this for president doesn't suggest they're that serious about ever winning an election again:

The idea of a relative being legally required to carry to term and give birth to a rapist's baby is one of the most revolting thoughts I could have, but I don't see how Democrats are going to put up much of a fight focusing on the dumb shit they are obsessed with.
