Which is why it's hilarious to watch Trump and his deranged followers blather on about a left wing/communist/socialist takeover. The left has almost no representation in mainstream American politics. Most Democrats are indistinguishable politically from moderate Republicans. People like AOC and Bernie Sanders get a lot of attention, but they are extreme outliers.

Or it could be real. The idiot hardly ever wears a mask and has been going to rallies in the Midwest and Deep South where the virus is spiking. People at his rallies are clustered together not wearing masks. He's obese, probably hypertensive, probably a type 2 diabetic, probably has sleep apnea (lies about all of those things with a fabricated medical record). Lots of risk factors. He might get really sick. He'll probably lie about it if he does though.
I don’t think it matters what Proud Boys is. It was given to Trump in the context of a violent white supremacist group. He flubbed the response. The debate was so bad apparently he has covid now for some sympathy votes.

Yep. I think he may have just killed his chances for reelection with that. It also practically ensures a recession or depression. Although I think we are already in one really. Tens of millions are out of work due to covid.
The market rebounded strong today. But it is true that the economy is more than just Wall Street. We have likely been in a recession all along. Think about what the fed is doing. It’s propping up the stock market as best it can. With unlimited QE would we be on the rise?
Stock market is up because companies big enough to be publicly traded got a bailout. They were also paid to not lay-off. But the layoffs are getting started again. Also with that bonus unemployment people actually made more money during Coronavirus than they would’ve working. So they fell over themselves to spend it back into the economy and not go back to work. It’s estimated 60% of small businesses won’t make it till the end of the year. Also if you were unfortunate enough to work a minimum wage “essential” job you got fucked. Others collected 2x that to sit at home. I’ve never seen $5 trillion lit up in smoke in 6 months in such a haphazard manner. It makes the Iraq war look like a bargain. I laugh when I see Trump ads calling Biden a socialist.
Yeah a minimum wage that hasn’t been updated in how many years? It’s work three jobs, get a student loan for overpriced schools, or join the military. Those are your options to make a living in America. That or be a commie. I have heard that people in the trades (plumber and such) do well for themselves. But even they are getting hit hard in the Covid. We had a guy come out a while back and he said his business was pretty dry.
Trump is refusing to do the second debate now that it will be through a video call and they can mute him if he starts acting like an idiot again. First debate was a horror show that tanked his polls: Trump and his mask-less entourage spreading covid-19, him bombing a question about white supremacy, an hour of two old men yelling at each other like they are in the Deli line and the Deli ran out of whitefish salad. At least the VP debate was like a normal debate. I don't think anyone really even wants to see a second Trump/Biden debate.
