That’s their plan, to try to throw out votes. Although they’ve been dismissed in court twice for claiming fraud with nothing to back it up with. It’s extremely funny.
Voter fraud is extremely rare. There have only been a few dozen verified cases in the entire country in the last 20 years. From 2000-2014 there were only 31 instances of voter fraud. It almost never happens and wouldn't shift an election. They sound like idiots when they ramble on about it.
If Biden wins Georgia we'd actually have the weird possibility of a tie. If that happens I think the house would pick the president.
How are you figuring that would happen? Biden looks like he's going to take NV, GA, and PA once they start counting again today. He's sitting at 264. He just needs one of those states to win. I don't see any way Trump can win or even tie at this point. He's finished. The only question now is how badly did he lose. NC might also swing to Biden but they aren't planning to finish up their count until some time next week.
Are you figuring Biden is going to lose AZ too? That's the only way that would happen. Seems unlikely. From what I understand it had been called by most news sources because there aren't enough outstanding Republican ballots to flip it back to Trump. Even Fox News called it for Biden.
Maybe there's a way to have Trump declared mentally unsound and have Pence run things until Biden takes over. Trump has lost his mind. This is why you don't elect someone with a personality disorder to high office.
There is a provision in the constitution for that. But it requires his cabinet to turn on him. So it’s extremely unlikely. Until his term is up, he is the president. I guess they could impeach him again... but those are the only ways to legally remove the president from power before his term is complete. But if everything goes the way it’s going. It’s not like he is suddenly going to be able pass laws and whatnot. Executive orders only go so far.
The uncounted ballots are from the area around Atlanta which is full of black democrats. Most of those votes aren't going to Trump. Biden just needs to win PA. They could yank AZ from him and he could lose all of the other battleground states and still win with PA. That's extremely unlikely though. He is almost certainly going to win in more than one state. Also recounts rarely yield very different counts. It might change by 50 or 100 votes. Calling for a recount is childish temper tantrum behavior. But by all means let the recounts commence so that Trump can essentially lose the election a second time. I wouldn't count on the military voting for Trump. He has called them losers and suckers and looked the other way on Putin putting out bounties on American soldiers. He shit all over war hero John McCain. Trump himself is a draft dodging coward. Trump has treated the military with disdain. Some will vote for Trump but plenty will also vote for Biden. I'm hoping once PA is called for Biden that Trump does the right thing for the country and concedes. That's wishful thinking though. He's a narcissist and the idea of doing something for the greater good or for anyone but himself is foreign to him.
What’s this about military votes? They get until the 10th to vote or does it still need postmarked by the 3rd? I expect those are overwhelmingly for Trump. This will go on until Dec 14th....
I would anticipate the vast majority of military votes will go to Trump having been in the military for 4 years myself. I didn't encounter too many Democrats in the USMC. They were not fans of my personal politics to put it mildly, which I usually kept to myself. The military votes will be among the last votes counted, adding a lot of uncertainty in close battleground states. It's probably going to remain a mess for awhile.
Faux News just called it too. It's over for Trump. Fox called both NV and PA for Biden. The way the Senate and House didn’t change much suggests a lot of Republicans have had enough of Trump and quietly voted for Biden.
https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-refuses-concede-election-more-aides-back-away-from-him-2020-11 If he spent a fraction of the energy trying to fight the virus as he has trying to fight democracy or tweeting he probably would’ve easily won. The coronavirus was his doom. The cops he emboldened to retardation were his doom. He really was his own worst enemy. His entire administration was a slapdash effort, scurrying from one scandal to the next. The one single thing I feared about this election— the courts he appointed— even they can’t back him. You would think someone who spent his entire “business career” suing people would’ve been better at it. Especially when he appointed the damn judge! I mean, his life is basically at stake in these lawsuits and he is winging it? They are coming for whatever’s left of his “empire” and want him in jail.
He’s screwed. His creditors and enemies are going to sue, prosecute, and investigate him for the rest of his life. I have no sympathy. Hundreds of thousands of people are dead because he failed to lead during a national emergency. Some pretty basic measures like a national federal mask law and passing the second stimulus could have saved lives. Instead of doing something about the virus he lied about it, downplayed it, and held maskless rallies that killed people. And now it’s completely out of control and has been spiking to never before seen levels the last few days.
I’m legit surprised by how many counties in PA are blue. More than should be so he pissed off some of his own base in PA. I expected him to lose for the last 2 years. But with 70M votes, some of you guys were right all along. If this crazy ass Covid didn’t happen he would’ve coasted to victory....
I don't agree with public figures trolling Trump on the way out. I think getting trolled by Obama at the correspondence dinner is how we ended up here. They should just give him a "good job" and "you caught a bad hand with covid" and send him off to retirement. Democrats like Chuck Schumer are running their mouths like the guy didn't get 70M votes. He could easily come back in 2024 and pose a strong challenge.
It is what it is. People see him as a bully and want to stand up to that sort of thing these days. And he’ll be 78 in four years. And besides, the damage is already done on that regard. This is a guy who holds grudges and keeps score. He ran his mouth on McCain for years and lost Arizona. Close to the same with Lewis and Georgia. If all he can do is sling mud and yell to get off his lawn then I am much less worried about him in 2024. I’m more worried about an actually competent politician using these expanded executive powers to really damage democracy. Trump just isn’t competent. I mean... four seasons landscaping? Telling the world he is going to refuse to accept a loss but has no strategy to win a lawsuit? We could go back over the last four years... has the house, senate, scotus all under GOP control for two years but can’t get Obamacare repealed or build a wall? No swamp drained. No cabal arrested. Just golfs and tweets. If he came back and ran in four years I don’t think he would win. He’s a do nothing bridge burner who talks a big game but doesn’t deliver.
I don’t see him being a strong candidate if he tries to run again. He will be remembered as a divisive, incompetent, narcissistic, bullying, chaotic, do-nothing one term impeached president who got a lot of people killed by failing to lead during a pandemic. Even in the middle of a pandemic people are celebrating in the streets now that he is gone. Also he’s old as shit, obese, doesn’t exercise, and lives on a diet of KFC, Diet Coke, and Big Macs. He might not even be alive in four years. His creditors and the IRS are going to tear him a new asshole once he leaves office. It's hard to run for president when you are broke. The scary thing would be if Republicans run someone like Trump politcally, but younger and actually competent. He spent four years trolling and bullying people. You reap what you sow. I don't think Trump has any real friends at this point because he inevitably ends up turning on people.
Trump is definitely going to do more stupid things before he leaves next year Sent from my ASUS_I001DC using Tapatalk
