Talking about Clinton's track record isn't proof that Trump is actually better in those areas. You're the one trying to make that argument. Where's the proof?
She was against don't ask don't tell, supported DOMA, and was against gay marriage until like three years ago. She's completely two faced on gay rights.
In preparation for this election... so probably 2 years ago. All I'm saying is the democrats could've found someone like-able and run away with this election. Instead, you have a coin flip... all Trump has to do is get a small surge of people wanting to roll the dice and he wins. From the Brexit fallout, it seems they under-estimated how many people will be all "fuck it lets see what happens".
I don't agree with Trump on every issue, but he's at least right about some things like nationalism vs globalism. I don't like Hillary or agree with her on much of anything. She's basically an establishment center right conservative running as a Democrat. She doesn't seem to really believe in anything. She's a career politician who will say whatever it takes to get elected and would change nothing. I also just don't like her as a person. Trump is at least an amusing and charismatic troll. She comes across as a grumpy pants suit wearing power lesbian. If the Democrats had run Bernie Sanders instead of rigging everything in favor of Shillary with the superdelegates, they would easily have my vote. I actually liked Bernie and agreed with him on most things.
So, in a nutshell, you think she's out to destroy your gaming hobby through feminism. Things are becoming clearer.
You jest but feminists like Anita Sarkeesian and Zoey Quinn really are out to destroy our hobby as a way to punish men. Also third wave feminism is bullshit. It's a misandrist female supremacy movement that has nothing to do with equality, and everything to do with special treatment for women and the hatred, punishment, and subjugation of men. Egalitarianism is the movement that's actually about equality, not feminism. Feminism is a hate/supremacy movement pretending to be about equality.
Nope. Opposing people being beaten and killed isn't championing gay rights... it's just common sense. In 2011 her corporate masters allowed her to support civil unions. She didn't make her stand on gay rights until 2013, after the waters were tested and it was politically safe to do so.
She's a career politician who just says whatever she thinks will get her elected. Gay rights are popular now so she now claims she supports gay rights. She also voted for the War in Iraq because that was popular at the time. Her judgement is shit, she doesn't really believe in anything, and she's a flip flopper.
The worst thing she did (imo) is funneling money to for-profit universities. These scams (like University of Phoenix) put borrowers in massive student loan debt in return for worthless degrees. The loans have 90% plus default rate because the education is worth less than Hamburger College at McDonalds. The Clinton charity received $16M in kickbacks to funnel $60M in govt backed loans/grants that taxpayers will foot eventually. I got caught in the credit card racket at when I first went to college. It's been a pet peeve about exploiting people who are barely adults. She seem to have no care about screwing over 17/18 year old kids for at least a decade... for a few more million dollars. Gives you an idea where Shillary stands on the moral compass.
It seems like a lot of people on Wall Street are basically just career criminals who move from one scam to the next, and they keep getting away with it because so many of our politicians are corrupt and get paid to look the other way. In the 1990's it was the pump and dump. In the 2000's it was predatory subprime adjustable rate mortgages and fraudulently overrated mortgage bonds. In the 2010's it's the predatory for profit diploma mill. The people running these for profit schools were almost all previously in the subprime mortgage racket. They're getting more bold and more greedy too. The Devry/ITT Tech/Phoenix for profit college scam is taking taxpayer money straight from the federal government in the form of federal student loans. And the victims are mostly poor minority kids in their late teens and early 20's who will be stuck with many years of crushing non-dischargeable debt and wortheless degrees that leave them with worse employment prospects than high school dropouts. They are literally preying on children and their dreams with this stuff like a bunch of fucking ghouls.
No, she supported civil unions back in late 1999, as well as opposing the "don't ask, don't tell" policy in the military. She came out in support of gay marriage in March 2013, when she stepped down as Secretary of State. That's over three years ago. Keep in mind that Obama himself didn't officially give support to gay marriage until May, 2012. Yes, she's a politician and will do things according to political timing, but that shouldn't be a shocker to anyone who's an adult.
Of course she did. Bill met with the attorney general and made sure there would be no charges. He may cheat on her with anything that has a hole, but he wasn't going to let her go to prison.
So I watched clips of the convention... I think Trump is done for. He had momentum as the unscripted outsider... But with an utterly shitty VP pick and the transition to the same old scripted GOP playbook, it's a wrap. I think most people can connect with Make America Great Again... but WTF is this make America safe again shit. That religion loving, gay hating, fear mongering is played out. Ironically, the ideological opposition to evolution will do them in.
Trump is an exceptionally good con man. He might even be a better con man than Steve Jobs. He may have been spouting populist, anti-establishment rhetoric just to secure the nomination. Or he could be conning us now by pretending to be a traditional Republican. Maybe both. I'm not sure if we know what Trump really believes. The only thing we know for sure is that he has a very high opinion of himself. Because the guy is a narcissist. One good thing to come out of this convention was this amusing t-shirt:
Haha I wish the Mexican govt paid for it. lol at Ted Cruz. I'm impressed he isn't a sellout. I had him pegged as the most corrupt of all the candidates. Bernie turned out to be every bit the sellout politican that I didn't see coming. I will probably just vote independent or do a write in for Khaid.
I was extremely disappointed in Bernie for endorsing Shillary. I thought he was a man of principle. I'm getting comfortable with the idea of not voting. I feel so dirty even thinking about voting for either of these candidates. Con man vs Wall Street shill. I choose neither.
